MY xls graph, starting June 11, 2009, shows a very, very gradual decreasing trendline, but the moving average is all over the place. How do I cut and copy my graph to this board in order to seek help in analyzing it further? (I tried all the obvious options I could think of, but they didn't work.)

What program did you use? Edit: I see you use xls

The trendline tells the true story while the data graph often does not, precisely because data often is "all over the place". That is the value of graphing.

Use AJ`s directions for posting your graph. I know you`re using my spreadsheet to make it, but please understand it means almost nothing until you`re cured...as I`ve illustrated here: http://www.thesinclairmethod.net/community/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=690&sid=90c0c4c7e60ee28d6364a67cc3127c8a

And I found the moving average to be too confusing (for a simple soul such as myself) to be of much use. Didn't Bob3d have an interesting trendline? Something about a polynomial? ;) ;)

Oh, God, don't bring that painful memory back up!

I tried copying the graph with Crtl-c and then paste to Paint w/ Ctrl-v but didn't work in Win XP Pro SP2. Tried the same w/ the whole spreadsheet using same key-combos. No luck.

To: LoOp. There's a tiny issue with your spreadsheet that I intended to send you a private message about, but can't find you on the send messages area. Not important, just something very minor you may want to fix. Pls. advise.

No PM required, whats up with it? :) You can also use the "prt scrn" button and paste it into paint and crop it.

I think I found what you're talking about. I fixed it last night but I was drunk when I fixed so I forgot what it was!!! It had something to do with the first week.

Hi LoOp

Right click your .xls file, go to /Properties/Summary/Name... Do you really want that there?

Yes, I know the extinction curve can bounce around for months until the switch filps off and it takes a dive. I'm just hoping that happens before I leave on Oct. 22 for South Africa and a two-month sailing voyage across the South Atlantic to Salvador Brazil.

I can't double up the dose, because I don't have enough pills. Just in case my doc won't refill (due to potential lack of results) after the "trial" he reluctantly agreed to that runs out in mid-Oct., I've ordered 60 tabs from AllDayChemist. Hope they get here.

I figured out how to transfer a print screen into a .doc file and attach my graph that way. But when I tried to upload it, I got the message, "The extension doc is not allowed." Why not? I tried renaming the extension to .jpg. Didn't work. Then tried importing the doc file to Paint. Unsupported file type. Finally followed suggestions like a good boy and pasted the spreadsheet screen to Paint and added .jpg extension. That seemed to go thru, but only shows up to 7/29 (on my computer as well) while my data on the left hand columns actually runs from 6/11 to 9/9. How do I display the entire graph? I tried selecting all the left columns where I had entered my data to date, but it still didn't update the graph.

Mike

Oh thanks. I don't really care but I'll shoot a new one over to PlainVanilla so he can put it up when I get the time, thanks.

What you need to do is click exactly on your graph line, this will highlight it. Then on the left around your data there will be a colored box, that's your data series. You can click on the corner of it and drag it to encompass all of your data to the current date. Then the graph will update.
