naltrexone and sex, how important?

I've noticed that on the times like, the day after taking nal and drinking if I do have sex its the actual moment of orgasm that seems shall we say...less than fulfilling

are there other neuropeptides at works during the actual act of sexual intercourse itself? I still enjoy that its just the climax sucks

any thoughts?

I take an SSRI (Paxil), so I it interferes with the sexual experience. I did not notice a difference after I started taking Naltrexone. But then again, I am already partly impaired.

Yes it absolutely has an effect. You get an endorphin rush when you do all kinds of things, sex, eating, exercise, cuddling babies. Somebody shoot me down if I'm wrong but I believe its possible to extinguish sex as a behavior with naltrexone. That's one of those activities that you want to engage in on your selective extinction days (no nal, no al).

I read somewhere on the posts........????? Dr Eskapa says to wait a good 48 hours for the NAL to wash out of your system before having any "good endorphin activities". Anyone remember that??? God forbid.........extinguish sex, or eating cheesecake, or, or, or!!!! :shock:

yeah but not really. you have to repeat the behavior on Nal many...many times before there is a substantial extinction effect.

just pick an AF weekend and give her (or him) ...ummm...something to remember, and neither of you will ever probably forget it.

Trust me, there is nothing as important as being able to lay down next to the person you love and close your eyes together.

right i read the fact that i should have sex on washout days (48 hours after) but, i have sex all the time while on naltrexone its just much more fulfilling on the dry days, am i in danger of some serious negative sexual deprogramming or does the super bang on the dryout day rebuild the neural net accordingly? i mean this is a nbew science right? am i the test subject?

like i still have a brewski probably 3 days a week (weekends) so my monday-thursday are dryouts, but were having sex DAILY , im thinking sex is so engrained that it wont matter but im still kinda weirded out by it

I don't worry about it in the least, frankly. As long as you don't take a Nal one hour before sex for the rest of your life, even if by some freak accident you became temporarily less conditioned to it, you would easily relearn the behavior.

Should the improbable occur, I for one am willing to rise to the challenge.
