Hi Cali,

Others here have posted that River is reliable, but is more expensive than alldaychemist.com. If I recall correctly, you might get the Nal more quickly from River. Either way, it takes quite a while so don't wait too long. I don't order online, so I'm hoping those with experience will jump in here to give the most accurate details.

That's interesting. I am really not qualified to speculate as I don't take many meds so maybe there is a difference between generics and brand names in rare cases... Which doesn't address the original question of whether different brands may cause different subjective reactions to naltrexone, which I still tend to doubt.

As coincidence would have it, the following just showed up on MSN this morning:

Yep, and my antidepressent was "Wellbutrin". The generic did not work! But if all of you are having good experiences with the 2 Pharms mentioned above then I will give it a try.

Thanks for finding that ~Q~ ;)

That's a very worrying article Q.

Would it be worth having a poll of The Cured (brand name/source) or is it too early to tell?

I have tried two different brands and I think I can tell a difference between them.

A while back I ran out of NTX and bummed some ReVia (I had been using Nodict). The Revia seemed like it had a more pronounced effect.

I still have a few Revias left. I'll try taking another to see if I feel the same thing again.

Hello AJ_,

Did you have side effects like tiredness or nausea? Do you need prescription for in your country?

There definitely is a difference in quality from the various brands. I had a bad time on Nodict but the Nal I have made by Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is causing me no probs and is working well on TSM. I believe BMS took over Dupont who had original patent? Maybe wrong on that though...

I've been using the Nodict since day 1 as that is what River sent me, so whenever I reorder they send me the same thing. I wonder if this brand is not for me and that's why I've not seen much progress, as my 1 year anniversary will be Aug. 24th. I haven't experienced any ill effects at all on nodict and on July 9th I upped my dosage from 50mg to 75mg and still no significant difference or ill effects. I think I'll check out the other brands and see what I can get. I CANNOT get a script from my doc, so that is out of the question, I'll recheck what River offers. Any suggestions of where else to check is greatly welcomed! :)

Just my 2 cents worth here.. but I too got my first batch over the internet but I cannot vouch for it as I had nothing to compare it with. I went to a doctor in the UK and got a script the my second batch. The only reason I did this was because i wanted to get my Nal either from a doctor or over the counter in a pharmacy. It actually ended up costing me quite a bit by the time I paid to see the doctor and traveling etc. I know Mario got her sister to get her her Nal when she was abroad and this is something that I will consider doing, either going to Spain or France. The only reason that I am doing this is because I don't want to have any doubt whatsoever about my Nal. If I do not succeed with TSM I know I can say to myself within a year or a year and half, that I was in the 22% (?) bracket and that there will be no seed of doubt in my mind of it being a question of validity of my Nal. I am not for one minute trying to put anyone off trying to get Nal on the internet as I am sure people here will chime in here with their success stories of this, but for me it is possible to go to the trouble of getting it over the counter, even just for my own peace of mind!
