Hi! This is my first cyber chat ever. Am about 2-3 weeks on TSM and remain reservedly optimistic. I don't quite trust myself (this is great! by drinking I'm curing myself). However, I understand the science of this and have demonstrated to myself over and over again that willpower is a fleeting event. Am touched by the intelligence and honesty found in this forum. thanks

Hi jazzman, a pleasure to meet you here :)

Yes, it's a great community here, I've found - people are very supportive and helpful, and there's genuine interest in everyone's progress. We are all in this together!

We started around the same time, so it'll be fascinating to compare notes and our progress.

Wishing you success! :)

Welcome Jazzman!

I have a few of your records. (George Benson/Duke, Quincy Jones, etc., although mixed with R and B.) Yes, willpower is typically no match for alcoholism on its own. But the beauty of this method is YOU NEED NONE to succeed with TSM. Every time you crave a drink, pop the nal, wait an hour and drink. You will be extinguishing whatever event triggered you to want that drink. This method works for the VAST majority who try it but it will take patience. Hopefully at 2-3 weeks in the side effects have diminished. Beware of a spike in your drinking when starting the method, which is common. And don't be shy about asking questions.

Take care,

Nick

Hey Jazzman! Glad you could join us.

Your name suggest you like a certain type of music or are a fan of the Utah Jazz and Deron Williams (NBA).

Looks like Im not too far ahead of you on start dates. So far I believe I have had tremendous success with TSM. Im very pleased. Im keeping a watch for bumps in the road, but since I expect them, hopefully ill be prepared. What has helped alot for me is asking a ton of questions and reading everyone's updates... so much great information here and such great people. You know what they say, if you want to be successful at somthing, surround yourself with people who have already done what you want to do or is going the same direction as you. Everyone here has one thing in mind.

Please post often, I am very interested in your progress.

Hi jazzman,

A very warm welcome to you!

You couldn't have picked a better place to start out in the world of cyber-chatting. In the relatively short time that this community has been growing, this site now contains a wealth of real-world experiences of The Sinclair Method (TSM). So, dig in, absorb as much as you are comfortable with, and please keep posting.

All the best on your TSM journey.

V.

Jazzman,

Welcome. You are 100% correct - TSM works because it is medical science. Follow TSM as outlined in Dr Eskapa's book and you will be amazed.

PRE 02/2006. 100-200 Units per week ==> Began AA for the 15th time
Pre TSM 10/08 - 04/09. 50-150 Units per week

WK 17 Cured
NALTREXONE + DRINKING = CURE

Best Regards,
Tom

Hey Jazzman - welcome from me as well & I, too, love your name. I can't put it any better than the ones before me, I think you have found not only a great place to start cyber-chatting (this was my first and only one too - gee, we are like virgins! LOL) but have found a great group of REAL, genuine, highly intelligent people sharing the same struggle.

Good luck to you & keep posting. There's alot to read here - enjoy!
