I wonder if someone can advise. i have a bit of a dilemma. I ordered a refill of Nal from Alldaychemists 12 days ago and have discovered they only dispatched them yesterday. I am really annoyed as my previous supplier was very efficient but moved to allday as they are cheaper. Anyway i have only 4 tabs left and it could take ages. i normally only drink 3/4 days per week. Would it be ok to reduce to 25mg to spread them out. I imagine it should only reduce amount of time of coverage and i usually only drink in evenings.

This issue has come up in the past on Eskapa's thread but in the context of reducing the dosage for those suffering severe side effects. The bottom line: you are probably ok with 25 mg so long as your drinking occurs within a few hours after taking it. 50 mg covers you for 24 hours; 25 mg presumably covers you for half that time. So, if you know you will only be drinking for a few hours, you should be covered so long as you drink within a few hours after taking 25 mg (per Eskapa's thread).

Netty asked Dr. Eskapa about this. You should find both her query (& cite therein) and his response helpful.

Hi Soulbythesea,
You won't recognise me . I've been lurking for months on behalf of my son. Anyway, I'm just sticking my head above the parapet to say, if you would like me to send you a 10 pack to tide you over I would be very happy to do so if you let me know your address. I live in England so they should reach you quite quickly. You can send me a pack when yours arrive.
All the best
Chris

Thank you Lena, Nick for the info. I tried last night with 25mg and i got quite a buzz from the wine- drank over a bottle and really paid for it with my gall bladder today. So will prob have to go back to abstinence for a few days.
Chris, thankyou for your kind offer i just heard from Allday today i think it should take about a week. Given my experience last night and nausea and discomfort today i don't think i'll try drinking very much so i should manage with what i have. Its probably better for me as i really need to not put my gall bladder under strain. (I've had an inflamed gallbladder for a couple of weeks and didn't drink for a week but over did it last night)
Anyway thanks again and welcome to the board.
