I'm fortunate, in that we have a small group of very close friends who all drink. . .and several, I sense, who would love to find a way out of this quagmire produced by alcohol. One really special gal and her husband are the heaviest drinkers of the bunch (on most occasions). She adores her children and grandchildren. . .and a couple of them now have almost nothing to do with her, b/c of her drinking. I know they mean well, but it breaks my heart that she is judged for something she can't help. She deserves much better.
I had mentioned TSM to her husband, who got a bit gnarly, so dropped the subject. (Hey, who wants a know-it-all to tell you - over drinks - that there might be a way to quit or moderate drinking?

) But then last week he indicated that he's looking into it. . .how cool is that?
I also met an acquainance who is a health care professional at a local salon a few weeks ago. I had actually prayed to run into her, as she has dear relatives who are very heavy drinkers. I told her about TSM, and she took the time to take notes. If she becomes active in this, it will have a very positive influence locally, as she is highly regarded in our health care community.
Has anyone else contacted Oprah, or Dr. Oz, via oprah.com? I've done both. . .and I know that the more 'buzz' these show producers get, the more likely it is that they will follow up.
Just think: we could be guests on the show, once we've recovered! *grin*
