SpringerRider, N101CS, Potato, Q, Happy4Once, and Netty,
In a recent post on my weekly progress thread, I stated that now that I've joined the ranks of the cured, it doesn't make sense for me to post daily on a weekly progress thread because it would be boring. Each day is either light/moderate or AF. So what is my place here? Providing advise? Being a cheerleader? Really a combination of the two. Encourage people to stick with it until their switch gets flipped and provide advice along the way. I noticed that folks often ask questions in a plethora of diverse threads that should be at least commented on by us who have been through TSM.
What do you think about having a forum section called Ask "the cured" similar to the Ask Dr. Eskapa forum section? The Ask Dr. Eskapa section is there so people who have questions about the Sinclair method and recent research can directly ask questions that he can directly answer. The difference with the proposed Ask "the cured" section is that we have actually successfully gone through the treatment, starting as alcoholics and ending up as normal people. Each of us had different backgrounds, different drinking patterns, take different medications (some of which can interfere with pharmalogical extinction), and we have our own brand of authoritative advice to give - actual experience. It certainly would be easier for us to answer questions in one thread rather than scouring the forum for questions. It may help keep those who are cured from drifting away from this forum because we could check into one spot for questions to us.
What do you think?
Bob
