- Q - That is just totally awesome!   You were one of the early inspirations here on this board - always a voice of reason amid a struggle that often seems totally unreasonable.

Congratulations, and please stick around. The inspiration of those who have "made it" is not to be underestimated.

~Q~ I echo the sentiments of everyone here. Only fellow drinkers can understand what a major, major breakthrough and accomplishment this is - not only for you, but for everyone here who is desperate to know that this method works. Thanks for continuing to take the time to post. I'm right behind ya!

So don't be a stranger! Talk to us about your ongoing thoughts, feelings and choices. I am fascinated by the thought of having the desire actually being turned off. I have felt a glimmer only a couple of times, but the habit took over.

Encouraged here & again, soooooo soooooo happy for you, Q!

I will certainly be sticking around and looking forward to seeing others meet their goals as I have.

That is an interesting question: Ongoing feeling and thoughts. I would say that this is actually one of the biggest changes I've noticed over the last several weeks. While in the throws of heavy AL drinking, I was mostly void of feelings and thoughts. All I really cared about was working and drinking. Now, I'm finding that I enjoy just about everything more.

AL really is a major depressant. Plus; as a binge drinker, I used to spent at least half of the week hung over from the binge nights. It was just an awful existence. Looking back now, I simply can't believe I used to live that way.

I have been away camping in the dismal rain, and came home to read this! How absolutely encouraging! I have been feeling down that this may not work but to see it happening with others makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!!!

Thanks for giving us HOPE!
