Obviously, ETOH affects both those major neurotransmitter systems, but since it's a "dirty drug" potentially many more as well. How does the tsm distinguish and fine tune among them all? In other words, how does one know that the opiod system is the one in real control of the habit? If it's another neurotransmitter causing the problem, will tsm still work--though perhaps not as well? Just curious.

We don't. But what's the alternative? And besides, rats never lie.

But seriously folks -- Those of us on benzos -- the "GABA drinkers" -- are not having results any better OR any worse than the population at large on this board. Dr. Eskapa has told me that since I (a benzo user) am having results, that means it is working. He's described at least one benzo/TSM case with smashing results. He and Sinclair often refer to alcohol as a dirty drug (i.e. affecting many human body systems) but the opiate receptors are the key. I think of it as analogous to the "core" body muscles being key to overall fitness. We are working on the addiction core of our brains and our mental posture and alignment will follow.
