Bob, I still cannot get my Excel graph into a jpg. format to post. Tried to upload it to a website server, and the server won't accept Excel files. How'd ya do that!
In Excel, I right clicked on the body of the graph window (not the graph itself, and not the spread sheet itself), then selected "copy". I then went to MS Paint, while Excel was still open, and selected paste to create the picture. Then, I saved it as a jpg file. After that, I uploaded the jpg to photobucket.com, where I have an account. Copied the link and pasted it into my post. That's it!

Bob,

You are such an inspiration!!! You should be so proud!!!! You are beating this disease!!!!

I have been down the last couple days about 'what if it doesn't work?' but I have read a couple posts from yesterday and yours today, and it gives me a renewed sense of hope.

For that I thank you......I can't wait to be where you are now.

xo

Bob -- My heart just breaks for you.

I thought about you a good bit of the weekend because there was a Leave it to Beaver marathon and I always leave that on as background noise when I find it. A good break from Michael Jackson. Of course Guess Who was in so many of the episodes.

Google docs is an easy conversion program to make uploadable documents and it works with exce;. This from someone who would rather have a root canal than chart her #'s.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind words!

I have taken this week off from work and it has had a different effect on me than I would have thought. I actually caught myself in the afternoon looking at the clock waiting on Naltrexone time. After I took it and waited an hour, my drinking was not under control as it was last week and part of the week before. Just as I was about to declare victory, the beast is back and as untamed as ever. I had more units last night than I had at any time during my Naltrexone treatment. I would think last night was an anomaly, if I had not over-drank the previous night also. Perhaps these 2 days are anomalous. I guess I'll find out tonight.

Hi Bob!!!

You have come a long way and done so well. Don't let one hiccup set you back. It's understandable given the circumstances that your intake might increase for the week, but look on it and learn from it.

Just wanted you to know you are doing a great job!!! Chin up buddy! xo

My theory is that we are basically extinguishing the thousands of triggers that would have made us drink in the past. You were on the precipice of "victory" and perhaps feeling victorious was one of your triggers for drinking in the past. It certainly would be for me! So after you take care of trigger number 9,764, you will be that much closer to THE CURE! As we all keep reminding ourselves, progress on TSM is not linear! The good news is I know I'll be seeing Eddie Haskell's mug for at least a few more posts. :D

You know, you are exactly correct! This is the first full week off I have had since starting TSM. Days off used to be my heaviest drinking days. I guess I have not conditioned myself for large amounts of idle time. I wonder how I should conquer this part of the addiction? If I drank "normally", it would be too much, if the last 2 days are any indication. I really would rather have a couple AF days. On the other hand, a lot of this planning is somewhat theoretical. Since I only drink Guinness and nothing else, the local store is down to one six pack and I only have 1 bottle left in the fridge. I don't know when the local store gets restocked or if they will get restocked by the end of the weekend. So all this planning may be moot. We'll see.

Bob

PS Thanks, christy! I took so long composing this that we cross-posted. Thanks for the encouragement. I made a commitment to stick with TSM through the end of the year and I will keep that commitment. I won't give up.

PPS Thanks Nick! I took so long composing the PS to christy that we cross-posted. Nick, I don't have any plans to bail out as soon as I'm cured. Although admittedly, it's hard to keep up with something that you're not going through any longer. I'll probably be like SR and pop in once a week, but I still have 9,763 more triggers to go, so it'll be awhile.

Well, I bought the last 6 pack of Guinness in my small town yesterday to supplement the lonely bottle left over from the previous night. Last night, I drank 6 units with 1 unit remaining unit in the fridge. So, I guess tonight will be an AF night. Even in this vacation period of time, my cravings are diminished to the point that I won't travel out of my way to get alcohol. I can drive about 15 minutes from where I live to a larger city to get as much Guinness as I want, but 15 minutes there, 15 minutes shopping, 15 minutes back, is just too much trouble and I am happy that I feel that way, right now at least. I'll see how I feel later today when "it's time" to drink.

Bob

Another good report Bob. I know what you mean about not wanting to take the time to go stash up on more AL. A couple nights ago I only had half bottle of wine in the fridge. Rather than go buy more (or have Jake bring more home), I just limited myself to two drinks - there was actually a glass left over that night!

'Course, I drank that the next day and then went to town for a supply run.

Way to go, G4M!

Well, I went to the local store to see if they had any Guinness from restocking and even though they had not had a delivery, there was a six pack of Guinness sitting on the shelf behind a different beer, so I gladly purchased that. I think there may be one more there, but I'll have to check. I had 5 units last night and I can't say I enjoyed them at all. There are 2 left in the fridge.

I have learned (finally!) that I can't plan a day, even if I am in that day. My feelings change as the day drags on. I'd like to say that today will be AF, but I know it will not be. I'd love to have just 2 and call it a night, but based on my behavior I know that even that is unlikely to occur. At least I am completely faithful to taking my Naltrexone one hour before the drinking begins. And you'd think that with a string of unenjoyable experiences, my brain would "get it". Eventually, it will. I'll be persistent.

Bob
