I was 3 months in to the Sinclair Method when I had a bad road accident and serious injuries. I spent 8 weeks on opioid pain killers, without drinking ... until week 8. That didn’t go well, of course, so I came off the pain killers and have begun taking naltrexone again. The first time around - last year - I got immediate results, with the amount I was drinking reducing dramatically. This time around, since the accident, I am not experiencing the same results. Even on naltrexone I am consuming 10 or 12 beers a night, and feeling awful the next day. I’m wondering if the 8 weeks on opioids has somehow rendered me immune to the Sinclair Method. Who Can I ask for advice? After 20 years of problem drinking, the results I got with SM first time around were life changing and wonderful. I’m obviously very worried that it doesn’t seem to be happening this time around ... though it’s only been ten days or so.
