I haven't had a drink for 40 days, prior to this I had been doing TSM and my drinking had risen to higher levels than before I started - I think this was because I was drinking large quantities of Vodka and flooding my receptors.

I'm taking Campral for cravings and have not had a single craving for vodka, however I think of wine now & then & how it would be nice to have a glass or two.

I feel pretty good physically and mentally, considering I have some personal difficulty going on, and toying with the idea of trying TSM again with wine only.

Has anyone had a break and TSM worked better for them? I don't want to undo the progress I've made so far and feel tempted to return to Vodka drinking, but I still see wine being part of my life in moderation.

I'm also still unsure if I trust in TSM given that so many people on forums do not see an improvement in their levels.

One person here gave that guidance while still drinking (no hard stuff, wine or beer only), but I don't know of a liquor drinker that specifically started drinking wine on TSM after abstinence. There might be one over on the Reddit sub, perhaps 'Garibaldi':

I once did TSM after a four and a half month period of abstinence. The first 2-3 times I drank way too much and blacked out, but after that it was all pretty much smooth sailing. I was able to have 4,5,6 drinks and then call it a night with absolutely no difficulty. As is probably the case with most of us I previously would have drank til I passed out and woke up in a puddle of my own piss.

I began TSM with just shy of a year of abstinence. 40 days should be advantageous IMO. And, yeah. Cranking down vodka with no mindfulness practice will get you no where fast. It's not a magic pill and just a tool. You've got to do your part.
