A lot of people do TSM without anyone else knowing. There is nothing wrong with that. Alcoholics are by nature very selfish people. We lie, manipulate, control, take advantage of, and so on to get what we need which is alcohol. So having said that use this selfish nature to your own benefit. If you are an alcoholic and you want a way out and that way out is TSM then you need to do that for your self only. Once you start to gain control then all the pieces of the puzzle will start to come together and you will start to regain the trust of those around you whether or not they know you are doing TSM. You are living in your mom's house and have been for some time so she is rightfully the boss but she doesn't need to know that you are doing TSM which will in the end benefit all. So yes it's a lie but you can make it your last lie.

BTW the more important question here perhaps is why? WHy does she not approve of TSM?

She doesn't approve because she is afraid that I will drink too much. And it's impossible to do TSM without her knowing because she would smell the alcohol if I drink.

Oh I see she doesn't want you to drink at all. Well, you can try to refer her to some of the threads on this forum or perhaps she'd be willing to read Eskapa's book?
