Excellent, TTC!

So far, it seems like Nal breaks the link between alcohol and pleasurable memories of drinking, so what you recall about this latest event may be a more accurate picture of the pleasure you had being with your friends rather than the pleasure of spending time with "Your Old Friend".

The implication is that booze simply hijacks fond memories and assigns itself as the cause, which leads to a false narrative.

Hello all, well...its been a ride so far and awhile since I posted so I wanted to check in.

Units seem to be normal between 40-54 per week as can be seen on my signature.

I am having no issues stopping drinking beer after a few but find that I run for the buzz and switch to hard liquor, I think this is mostly out of habit, to chase a buzz. Summer has been tough as we have a pool and parties seem to pop up all the time.

I'm still dealing with anxiety and depression and have for the last month been on 10mg of Cipralex (bumped up to 20mg as of today) to help with panic attacks. I find I am so stressed over trying to quit and looking for the day that it might "click" for me.

That being said...I don't really crave AL...I just tend to use it in the situations like I did in the past, HABIT!!

The journey continues and I wish you all success!!

TTC, keep watch over your drinking with the Cipralex. SSRI's can cause some to crave more, some to crave less. For others, there's no difference at all.

Have you tried boosting your dose on the hard liquor days? Or having the hard liquor first, then switching to beer?
