Sorry to hear that Meggie, but I do think that you REALLY need to want it to happen! The nal is but a tool in the toolbox - I wanted it so badly that it HAD to work for me. What are you going to do?

Hugs, Maggie

Meggie -

You mentioned that the melatonin makes your drinking worse, did I get that right?

Interesting articles, I went through all those changes in my 30. I hoping when I get back to work I will be busy.

I was also reading an excerpt from a book that mentioned that melatonin increased alcohol consumption in rats.

I wonder if your doc could suggest another sleep aid that might help you escape that side effect?

Really, I will have to check that out. I usually take it after I have drank for the night.

It might be that one of the OTC sleep aids could help here (just not the one with Acetaminophen) as a test run, if your doc or pharmacist thinks it's ok to use with your other meds. Chamomile can be helpful too.

as a sleep aid, I would suggest Gaba Calm. Melatonin was very hit and miss for me, but Gaba seems to work. good luck!

Looking at your numbers you haven't quit either. Do you want to. I did use the calm before. I will have to check it out.

Meggie, you may want to check out the book that Wolfie mentioned too. Smootie read it and really liked it. August 30th post:
