im on celexa have been for quite a while. I don't take Bezos unless I am having a major panic attack, which isn't very often.

Some people do report that some SSRI's increase their cravings for alcohol, but it's not a proven effect. Mostly just people posting on the internet, google it and you'll see. For the same SSRI, other people will say it helped them drink less. Yet others say there was no change at all, so it's nothing you can put your finger on and say it's going to go this way or that. The info with Paxil says it can cause increased drinking, but I haven't heard of any of the others including that as a listed side effect.

If you noticed a difference in your drinking when you started your AD med or when you increased the dose, talk to your doc about it and see what they say. You wouldn't want to change the dose without talking it over with them anyway.

Doesn't sound like the benzo is going to be an issue if you only take it on rare occasion, but if you drink with it, make sure your doc knows that.
