Haven't updated for a long time, so here goes!
OK, I'm a week from my one year anniversary, and it's been quite a ride. to sum up: Naltrexone has really changed my life for the better. my ATTITUDE toward AL is very much "I can take it or leave it" most days.
AL-free days are no big deal, whereas before they were incredibly white-knuckling.
the idea of getting drunk has VERY little appeal to me; it's almost as if I can't relate to it.
going out for a night of music, dancing etc and having two beers all evening is NORMAL.
driving my wife home (as opposed to ALWAYS being driven home) after a night out feels GREAT.
*****having my 31-year-old son (whom I never knew about) discover me was a fantastic side story

all in all, I want to say THANK YOU to so many people on this forum who've helped me along the way. Early on it was Maggie, Newlife, UKBlonde, and a lot of others, you know who you are.
TSM is such a life saver for SO many people, and I encourage anyone reading this to STAY THE COURSE and good things will probably happen for you. it's certainly worth the effort from where you might be now, right? Onward!!!!!
peace and much love,
