Cheeto -

Other things that some have found to be useful for sleep:

GABA powder (different than Gabapentin)

L-Theanine (really helps some, others... not so much)

Generally soothing:

Lemon Balm (an herb)

You can take a look at the herbal sleep formulas on Amazon and read the ingredients and check the reviews (put on your shill filter).

Cheeto - I am sure that you have tried it - but I used to take melatonin. I actually got some in dropper form at Fresh Thyme last year - much better than the tabs as the body assimilates it faster - anyway it worked for me for some time - then stopped! But worth a try if the Valerian root doesn't help. I am now taking Gaba for sleep - finally got some from my doc and sleep SO well with it.

I am glad that when you felt that the 75 mg wasn't helping you went back down - the few folk that I have talked to about upping their dose to 75, said that if it hasn't helped in about two weeks, then it probably isn't going to.

I really feel for you in that this is taking so long! But all I can say is keep plodding on with it and hopefully you will get there in the end! Not trying to pull you down - but ChrisB took two years - felt that it wasn't going to work but kept taking the nal before she drank every time anyway - and then suddenly it did! SO hang in there !!!!

Hugs to you,

Maggie xx

I cannot remember where or how I found it - but I did e-mail her and she told me that she just kept on taking the nal even though she had decided it was not going to work for her - and then all of a sudden, it did !

So, for those thinking it isn't going to work - you just have to have faith and patience! (that is going to be my epitaph)

Hugs, Maggie x

Thanks newlife, jaba, joesixpack and maggie! I have to have patience as that is all I can do other than sticking to the Golden Rule. I just really hope I am not starting all over again since not taking Nal for almost 2 months and drinking in Mexico?

Anyway hope you are doing well, have a great weekend. I am getting out in the sun today and weeding my garden that has more weeds than flowers and plants, lol!

Nal On!

Good deal, it's that time of year when they just start growing like mad. Need to have at it myself!

That could be a good diversion/mindfulness technique too, pour one and have a sip, then leave it inside and work in the garden for a bit before your next sip.

Cheeto,

I am glad you are hanging in there and giving us an update even if there is nothing new to report.

With patience and nal things will change!

Jaba
