I finally took the Nal last night. I only took 12.5mg, because I was nervous about SEs. I followed the "golden rule", and started drinking as I would normally. About 4-5 beers in (3.2%beers), I started feeling flushed, and kind of weird. Its hard to explain. I can normally drink 5 beers and not bat an eye, but last night it almost felt like I started getting hungover while I was drinking?! Anyway, I drank a few more, and went to bed early, because I was kinda freaked out. I drank half of what I normally would last night, but only because I had that weird feeling. I'll try it again tonight.

That flushed feeling is something that a few people have experienced and will go away with time. I have felt it a few times, but I am at "that age" where it is a daily occurrence, so I am unsure if it was the nal or a hot flash.

I am glad to see you are pushing through the side effects, and they will subside with time.

Thanks for the encouragement Jaba and Joe. I'm about 2 hours into the second evening of Nal, and I feel somewhat strange, not bad. I don't have the flushed feeling this evening, just kinda irritated, and don't feel like drinking my beer, but still pushing myself to. Have you guys experienced a dry mouth, and bad taste before? Not so much dry mouth, just bad taste? IDK weird 4 and half beers in 2 hours is slow for me.

I get irritated and sometimes hostile on the nal (but it could be hormones or both). Dry mouth is a common complaint, but it does go away. I think the nal changed the taste of white wine for me, for it tasted too sweet, or off, but I could drink red which I never liked before, and it would be fine. And beer tasted great, and I could take it or leave it before nal. The taste thing comes and goes.

It sounds like you are drinking slowly which is a good thing. Just remember that this could be the honeymoon phase and your intake may increase. My intake increased so much that I thought it wasn't going to work for me, but I have read (and others have encouraged me) that just about everyone goes through that and press on.

This is an exciting time for you. I do hope the side effect disappear by the end of the week.
