It seems I see more and more those that have been abstaining when they start TSM are able to get control really quickly.

Joe, barryb4 commented that NAL actually works really fast and I'd tend to agree. Those of us abstinent have already tackled the hardest obstacle which is the habit. Pure conjecture, but likely true.

This thread gives me so much hope. I have been sober for 18 months and miss my previous social life. I don't want to have a dependency on alcohol, I just want to be able to sit in a pub or restaurant once or twice a week with friends and share a couple of beers without the desire to get paralytic.

My problem now is finding a doctor to prescribe the Naltrexone and check that it is safe to take with bisoprolol and warfarin. Fingers crossed.

So pleased I found this thread.
