Baby, I know, it sucks! I am in tears over this fact. I am glad that JoAnna said it is nothing to worry about, so I guess now it is going to take time for you to get over this.

I have been where you are so I know how hard this is. I promise you within 12 hours you will feel a lot better, not 100%, but better.

Hang in there, kiddo, You are doing great! I thought about how I was when I was in labor. It felt like hell, but I know it would be over soon.

Jaba ....I need to be honest with you. I've had one mouthful of alcohol on two seperate occasions without having my tablet. I've then taken it and waited an hour before I drank again. Have I ruined everything ??

GOD NO!

If you have been a daily user, you should have been fine. You can delay you progress in doing that, but that is not what has happened to you today. You drank through the medicine and your brain and body did not like it one bit.

Do try to take your pill each time and wait. If that should happen again just take your pill and wait that hour.

Hope we are all human, and I have done it, and it scares me enough not to do it again. I have to remind myself that if I do not take that pill I will harm myself more than I can imagine.

Oh thank god . I really really need this to work. I even told my partner about the Nal this morning xxxxx ps I still don't feel any better !!

I think as being alcoholics we are hurting ourselves subconsciously, and drinking before we take our pill is just part of that sickness.

Take it in as lesson learned. You love yourself and your life to follow that golden rule. And you will beat this with every ounce of strength and energy, for that stupid alcoholic lizard booze brain is never going to win!

You got this Hope, and you are going to be just fine! You will start to feel better later in the day...or is it night...time difference has me off. It just will take a full day for you to feel about 75% better, and a good 2 days to feel 100% better.

The good news is (if there is a silver lining to this) you will be AF these days.

I've read other reports that drinking first and taking Naltrexone later can cause a sickness feeling. It's not the same as opiate users but if they do such a thing then they instantly go into withdrawal. Just hang in there Hope and chalk this up to a learning experience.

I have never read that, and I have taken my tablet with my first drink (yes, I know, idiot), and never felt a difference, but it make sense.

I wanted to let you know that I will be going to bed, so I will not have my phone with me to hear a post.

I have an early doctors appointment that I must get too (missed the last one and will have to pay out of the nose if I miss it and cannot be late).

I will be checking in the morning most likely at that office (the first appointment and you know I will still have to wait), but it maybe a little later before I can post.

I do hope that you are feeling better in the morning, and I want you to start thinking about a plan so hopefully this won't happen again (the plan may not work at first, but it will help).

Good morning all. Well I went to bed at 5pm yesterday and had a very shaky, sweaty night. I've woke this morning and like advised, I feel a little better but certainly not 10@ percent.

Yesterday was AF and so will today be. Yesterday I chucked out a box of wine....a litre bottle of vodka and a 70cl bottle of white rum (we had had a party over the weekend ) ....so there is no alcohol in the house and I ain't going to buy any !!

Is it ok for me to have a few days off ?? My plan is not to keep any in the house, and maybe just have a glass or two if I go out.

I never want to feel like this again !!
