Ugh! Just lost another long post! So here is the shortened version of week 17. Good news bad news type of week. Down to less than 40 units for the first time which is 2.5 times less than what I did before TSM. Had 4 AF days! Which is 4 days better than pre TSM. But had two days where I drank way past the NAL (as described on previous posts). Here are daily numbers 0, 18, 2, 16, 0, 0 and 0 for a total of 36. Day to day urges under control due to NAL. Hard core drinking still occurring all though less frequently. Goal is to change my habit of hanging out with my old drinking buddies and find alternative fun and to try to establish and upper limit (as compared to just drinking like normal).

well done on the AF's :) there are some good tips on HAMS about Harm Reduction for when you overdo it - intentionally or otherwise - that you might find useful:

Reboot,

It sounds like you have a plan and your af days look amazing.

I am surprised that you can drink so much and not have a nal over, for I would be sick as a dog after a night of drinking that much. I think once you find that niche of doing something without alcohol you will be on top of this!

Jaba. Definitely have had nal overs but it takes a bunch to get there. Way to much AL for way to long and that tolerance of AL I wished for as a kid has haunted me since I was a teenager. But although I have some setbacks- some big setbacks- I am SO Happy with my progress. And the support that you and others give everyone on this site.

Badger I did look at that website and I am planning to do some more browsing when I get a chance. Some real comon sense thinking and I like that.

Week 18 is finished and the NAL must really be starting to kick in! Had a wonderful week as far as drinking goes! Or should I say non-drinking. I finished the week with only 9 units. Daily count was 0,0,4,3,2,0, and 0. And the night I had two I really only did it because I took a pill after working outside all day and I was really thinking of knocking down a few cold brews. But when the timer went off - I was not that interested anymore. Ended up having two later at night just cause I had the pill.

Reboot,

that is truly amazing, and I have to remind myself every time that you are still in the early stages of this. You are doing great and it sounds like you are about to turn that corner!

Keep up the good work and keep posting,

Jaba

Reboot.... I just read through this thread. Pretty neat to see the weeks unfold in a matter of me reading this over the past 15 minutes.

It is great to hear this type of success... And man.... How you could put so much away... Hats off to you. ;) I wonder what it would be like to have a NAL party.... How much drinking would or would not happen.... Oh the stories we could tell. ;)

Awwww.... thanks, Reboot! I needed to call it out since (for me) it was a huge accomplishment! Sweet of you to notice and comment! :D
