I ended up having a couple extra drinks last night...I fact went to bed drunk !!

Altogether I had -

6 drinks ....11 units ...not very proud of myself !! I just went into the zone !! Weird as the few days before I'd not been bothered !!

Is this the honeymoon period !!?!

There will be times that you will drink through the medicine, and it sounds like you might have last night. I look at it as your brain is telling you, "I know I will get that feeling if you just keep feeding me...SO FEED ME and FEED ME NOW!"

You will know if your honeymoon period is over tonight if, or when, you drink, for you will find yourself drinking more since you started TSM (but usually not as much as pre-nal). Do not panic, for it is the way of TSM. I know shortly after I started TSM I drank a lot and was drunk too many times! Just be careful for you may end up with a nal. over, and those can be frightening and horrible (worse than any hangover that I ever had).

Ok...so I think I'm on day I took a full tablet today !! Have been ok on it so took the plunge.

Tonight I've had 3 drinks 6 units.

I get a little space on the nal...and I am going through the change so all bets are off...please do not ask for the time, the day, year, or my children names...but my pets I know for I am always calling my kids by my pets names ...That side effect will go away for you, but with me...maybe not!

Ok so day 7 ...felt too weird today !! So I am stopping amitriptylene as I have been so spaced all day !!!...bloody horrid !!! Taken full tablet ...had 2 beers and back to sneaky drinking again !!...so I think honeymoon phase over ...what happens now ???

Just keep it up Hope. Keep on following the golden rule. You have a long way to go but I think most will tell you here that it only keeps getting better and better. Be careful about mixing any other drugs. Naltrexone is very safe especially when compared to the other alternatives out there for alcoholism but like anything it can be dangerous when mixed, especially with opiates.

Ok so day 7 . Had the scariest night and day today. I think it was a Nal over.

So note to oneself LAY OFF THE SPIRITS !!!!

Ok so I've had half today and will had two beers (4units)

Hopefully I will be in the land of the living tommorrow xx
