Zontar,

It sounds like you are cured (I hate that term) or whatever you want to call it. I am glad to hear from you again, and happy for you that things are different with drinking. It is very encouraging to hear that you have put yourself in situations that would have been hard not to get caught up in drinking, and you had control and on top of that "harder to drink really heavily and quickly"...amazing!

I hope to hear for you again,

Jaba

it's been a couple of weeks and felt I should check in. I'm really feeling like I belong on the "cured list" lately. yesterday I watched a few great football games, during which I'd normally drink like a fish. I had two large beers at my local brewpub, biked home, then had two more over the course of the next 4 hours. there were a few games (plus the world series), I was following, my wife was out of town (a trigger for overindulgence pre-Nal), and I was in a great mood. when a third game came on, I had a large gatorade, an Arnold Palmer (tea/lemonade), and later 32oz of water with lime. couldn't have forced the AL if I had tried. went to bed at a reasonable hour, instead of falling asleep on the couch and waking up at 3am.

still getting my Nal overseas as my doctor doesn't know. my wife and few friends know, but no one else really. now I'd feel comfortable sharing with just about anyone if the timing was right. I have and appointment next month for a physical and plan to ask my doc about a scrip then. yeah, I'm a little nervous about it, but TSM has been a fricking miracle for me. I never took any meds before, was skeptical, and not prone to drama. the $hit works!

my advice to all: STAY the course. results seem to sneak up on you when you're not suspecting them. I'm over 6 months in and the difference is huge. zontar

Zontar,

I am glad that things are going good for you, for you progress is amazing. I love it when TSM works, and it will if anyone will give it a chance. It does work differently for everyone, but it does work.

Keep up the good work and keep posting,

Jaba

Yay, Zontar! This is what I love to hear. A common theme seems to be that people just keep naling along and then the results sneak up on them. I am really happy for you. I will stay the course. Thank you.

you bet! we text daily and talk for at least an hour every week on the phone. week before last he and his wife lost everything but their dog, cat and one car in a fire (no kidding), so we have plenty to talk about. his attitude is very good considering the stress they're under. fully insured etc etc but what a headache.

the relationship means a lot to both of us and it's pretty amazing it happened at all. I feel very lucky!
