I have a question for the women here on this board especially those who are 'un certain age'. I have noticed that i have started flushing- i think you gals in the US call it flashing in the past couple of weeks since starting Nal. I've seen people write about night sweats but this is during the day. I am of peri menopausal anyway but have not had flushing till now. It feels like my body's temp guage is off. I had not had these symptoms prior to Nal and as a part week drinker i don't think its got anything to do with alcohol withdrawal. I notice it tends to happen on the days when i have taken nal the night before. I would welcome any thoughts. Thanks
SBTS

I am a 50+ year old man and just last night, I had a night sweat and flushing/flashing/flossing (whatever it's called). The last night sweat I had was Monday night/Tuesday morning, which was the night after my 2nd AF day. The rest of the week, I have been Nal'ing and drinking and the sweats went away except for last night. I am fairly sure it's due to the Nal, since many of us are having the same experience and last I checked I didn't have ovaries, so I don't think I'm menopausal.

One thought though, I am slowly withdrawing from Valium (a benzo), which can cause night sweats, bad dreams, disturbed sleep, etc.

I am curious if others who are experiencing these sweats are in the benzo group.

Bob

PS I have never had the experience that WTE has had with the feeling of a heater placed in front of the face.

When I first started Nal, I definitely experienced the 'flashing' you're describing. It was always after I'd taken my little magic pill, and would subside a couple of hours later.

About a month in, these symptoms subsided.

I also had flushing after taking the Nal at first but I don't get it now. I am however on wild yam natural progesterone cream. It is making me sexier. I think. ha ha. I was having sweats before Nal anyway.

LMAO Bob!! Last time you checked, no ovaries! Too funny!

I am 38 and have been wondering if it's too soon for me to be menopausal. I have read as early as 35, but not often.

I have had night sweats, bad at first starting TSM, however they have since subsided. We have started our summer here in Canada (FINALLY!!). We have temps about 23 for the last couple days....and honestly, I can just be sitting still and sweat dripping--EWWWWW! Gross I know, but I simply cannot help it. As I type right now, sweating. Now for you US folk, 23 isn't that hot, it's about 79......

I believe it's all Nal, baby!

I'd rather this than the alternative.

Bob - You crack me up; I hope you are making yourself smile, too, when you post this stuff.

For all you REAL women under the age of about 45 or so, it seems we are all having these flashy sweats (hmmm - like a bad workout fashion trend?!) so not a symptom of menopause. Being on NAL it seems like the night sweats and hot flashes have increased, which is not fun - especially in the Texas summertime.

Which brings me to my last and final comment: "Wild Yam Progesterone Cream" makes you feel SEXIER???!!! Hot P'Tater!!!! Brang it on, girr!! Can't enough of that good stuff. Tell Tell - (Sheesh, where do you people get this stuff? Anything to make housecleaning even more fun!! LOLOLOL)
