Carlic - that sounds like my Nalretxone - but if ever you are in doubt you can always google 'tablet' and the number - it brings up a pic of the tab for you ... SO glad that your doctor gave you some - that is great for you !!

Hugs, Maggie x

great news that you had a receptive doctor who wrote you a prescription, & that they are cheaper for you

so long as it says 50mg Naltrexone, or possibly Naltrexone Hydrochlroride, then you're all good :)

if you want pictures of the pills, yours is second down on the left here:

good luck with them - let us know how you get on :)

Carli,

Those sound like the ones I take and I think the manufacture start with a M. They have been working just fine for me :).

I am happy that you found a doctor to do that for you, for it is a lot cheaper. Did you tell her you were doing TSM, or just needed them for al addiction?

hey everyone. thanks for the encouragement. I feel bad, but I did lie to her. I told her that I had been taking them before and they were working for me as an anti craving medication and assisting me with sobriety. I really wanted to be honest because that's the only way I believe I should go through life, but I had a feeling that she wouldn't have been on board and I would have been back to square one. She was really nice and told me not to drink on them for the combination would make me incredibly sick. I said, "okay."

Things have been going well. I wish I was still able to be as active on this forum as I was prior, but with the new job, the toddler and "wifely" responsibilities, it get's to be a bit tough. I will try and make it more of a priority though. It's really helpful for me to filter everything through all of you and I also would like to be there for everyone else.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Carli,

We are all just happy that you are still with us and doing the program, so no worries about not being so active on the forum(we all have been where you are...BUSY). We are a bunch of worriers! So, just drop a line whenever you can to let us know how you're doing on TSM, but it is sounding like you are doing great with it.

And I lied to my doctor as well. I knew there was a drug for weight loss that combined nal. and Wellbutrin (Contrave) and she already had me on the Wellbutrin for seasonal affective disorder, so I asked for it to help with my weight loss (my fasting blood sugar was elevated probably from drinking for I couldn't be af before my blood draw). At least you were honest that you had a problem...my thinks I do not drink because of all the alcoholism that is in my family  :o! Besides most doctors will turn you down with even the thought of drinking on NAL. because of the FDA says to be abstinence for days before taking the NAL...Hopefully the C-3 will change that soon.

Keep on doing what are you doing,

Jaba
