jaba, I several answers for you. I have heard of the big 4, it used to be the big 8 accounting firms. That was when my husband graduated. My nephew is part of the big 4, I think with Chase. As stated in my earlier post, accounting pays well but the hours stink and the work is constant.
Yes, my daughter wants to be an elementary teacher, and she will be wonderful. The teaching profession is a career that pays little and is being attacked constantly. We can not fix the home or the child, however, we can give all our love during that 180 days.
You should see my gin bottle, I measure every drink and mark it. I also have a diary, i know some of the drink is habit, well, most of it is. 730pm here I come. I go to bed a little after 9.
Oh, I have quit a couple of times and thought, oh, I can do this. I started with a little wine, then some more wine. Then I quit for over a year, more wine and you are right, you go back to where you started. My drinking has gotten worse since August 2011, I had quit for 7 months and went out and bought gin, why gin, I don't know. I did like gin and tonics, and it has been gin since then.
I do thank the support of this group, I can't wait to get back to the gym, cut down and get back to myself. A self I respect.

I have noticed that since I am back to work that my intake has gone up a little. It is going to be an interesting year. I appreciate your concern, it is nice to know someone cares. Drinking is not something you talk to your friends about. I know as I look around at my staff there must be others that are in the same boat as us. I can't remember, Jaba, are you on the cured list.

You are right I have nobody to vent to or talk about my habits with and I have a husband looking over my shoulder. I asked the question in another post about using anti-anxiety medication. What medications will work against the extinction process?
Jaba, the bad thing is I add vodka to my big jug of water. I drink lots of water over the day and just add vodka to it at night.
I am trying to observe what makes me drink more and I have found that I drink more on Friday nights when I am tired and bored.
I need to really watch how much I drink. I felt really horrible this morning, this must be another nalover. Yuck, I felt awful all day. I really do very little when I have these. It is raining like crazy so it is nice to just hang out.

Hi Meggie - I was wondering how you are doing? As Jaba said, your intake might go up after the honeymoon period - I know mine did, but it never went back up to pre-Nal levels. And that is really good that you are being so diligent about measuring your drinks - I have no worries with measuring with the Guinness! And have never cared for spirits. Let us know how you are doing .....

Hugs, Maggie x

Thanks Magie and Jaba for the support. Friday I drank way tooo much and had a hangover yesterday. Last night I drank maybe one drink. However, I did have a hard time sleeping. But I like the way my head feels, it seems less foggy. A full week of school this week and an open house. I need to get back to the gym for the energy. Thanks all.
