Thanks for the correction Happy. I'll go back and correct it. I guess I got caught up in the patent part, which in my experience has only one purpose -commercialization.
Quote:
I also read something about commercialization of the method in the US, which I think is good...as long as that does not involve a price tag.
Definition COMMERCIALIZE:
–verb (used with object), -ized, -iz⋅ing.
1. to make commercial in character, methods, or spirit.
2. to emphasize the profitable aspects of, esp. at the expense of quality: to commercialize one's artistic talent.
3. to offer for sale; make available as a commodity
While I certainly don't begrudge Dr. Sinclair or family from making monetary gain from TSM, I'm curious as to what the plans are and what the overall impact will be in the US market.
I hope they succeed wildly at commercializing the method. You gotta know that if people are making money from something, they're going to market the daylights out of it! If it gets more expensive for some. . .it will probably cost less for those who have to go to an overseas pharmacy. And just think: If there's an effective medical cure for addiction, we won't have to feel like smarms going to our doctor. We can just describe our symptoms, rather than 'admitting to a problem.' I love it!
