Well I am willing to slap you!! Mostly because I am as jealous as hell that it was all so easy for you!! That is not fair. I know you know how lucky you are. I doubt you want to go back to where you were.

But what you are talking about I think is the problem we will all face if this works. What do we do with our sober or mostly sober selves? What do we do with all the time we used to spend drunk? We have to figure that out or else we might just find ourselves sober but still unhappy.

ABSOLUTELY get up off your fat lazy butt and do something with yourself. I can tell that you are a sweet wonderful caring man!! If you don't have a wife or SO, go look for one!! At least have fun trying to find one. If you do have one, then go do something fun and crazy and different that you have always wanted to do. Life is short!! Make a bucket list and then start ticking it off. Go outside and watch the sunset. Read a novel. Read poetry. Write a novel or poetry. Volunteer to feed the homeless. Become a Big Brother. Learn to paint. RIDE YOUR MOTORCYCLE (but just don't kill yourself). Shall I go on? I can go on..........

Steve,

I have to say I am envious as well, but proud of what you have accomplished. I am thankful that you still hang out to help us during our rough times, but new life has a point. I think I could use that advice in my life as well (I am so focused on getting cured that I stopped living). As for the weight thing, I am there right with you (hence the name Jaba).
