for those of us who definitely aren't fast responders, there's an encouraging post on the OSL forum from a lady who achieved success after *two years* of TSM:

Thank you Badger - I saw her post once before and had not known where to find it - now whenever I get despondent I can see it again - and I so agree with her - just continue taking the Nal - after all, WHAT is the alternative ??? SO, we shall continue plodding on and know that eventually we will succeed !!

Hugs, Maggie x

WOW, Badger, thanks for sharing that post. That is what we all need to hear. I'm not getting the two years, though: if she started Thanksgiving 2013 and it clicked in Jan. 2015 that is really only a little over a year. But whatever, the point is still the same: for some people it takes a long time but it still works, so DON"T GIVE UP. And of course there are people past and present on this forum with similar stories: retread, Heavy Fuel, others.

Yes, Zontar, thanks for the encouraging words. I'm not giving up. I feel very fortunate that I don't have really any side effects from the nal so I don't mind taking it. I will take it for as long as it takes.

But I will say again that for me this forum is a lifeline, since I still haven't shared what I am doing with my husband or my doctor or anyone else (except one friend who is an AA believer, but I hardly ever see her.) To be able to share here and get the support of people who understand cannot be replaced.

NAL ON!! Newlife
