TSM lent a helping hand to get me off the alcohol crazy train. Nothing more to say.

Good luck to all here.

Thanks Guapo - a good read - but one thing bothered me - that you sometimes drink without taking the Nal - you MUST take the Nal or you will be back at square one before you know it. Even if you just take LDN, that is better than nothing - Steve takes LDN all the time for other reasons too - Google it and it is a good thing !

Good to hear how well you are doing though - and thanks for sharing.....

Hugs, Maggie x

I'm with Maggie Guapo. You don't take your pill, sooner or later you're going to run into trouble. It's just who we are...

Hi Guapo - I read you post yesterday (really inspiring) and you mentioned two books which helped, one was Jason Vale - can you remind me of the other one. I took a look yesterday and the author you mentioned also offers an online programme - did you do this or just read the books. I was in a rush and didn't make note of his name - but you've revised your post today. Thank you :)

Sure. Jason Vale " Kick the Drink - Easily" and Stanton Peele "Recover"

The titles don't do justice to the books. Both are superb, and will change your whole concept of alcohol. I had mentioned this in my now revised post, that these are the sorts of things were what really turned things around for me, even more than TSM.

How are you doing , snapdragon ? I don't think you've posted around here for a while.

Snapdragon - Allen Carr actually wrote the book that Jason Vale borrowed from - Jason actually worked with Carr on HIS book - which is The Easy Way to Control Alcohol .... and it is a really good book - I actually stopped with it for a few months ! It is definitely worth a read - whether you read the Vale version or the Carr version .....

Guapo - I had not heard about the other book that you mentioned but will definitely check it out - thanks,

Hugs, Maggie

I didn't do any of the online courses. Those books were plenty.
