Craving, you can do this differently, and generate more interest/responses than you're getting, as well as make this useful for those who will start TSM long after we 'pioneers' are cured. That's what this Forum is for! Plus, many of us like to comment on one another's progress (or fleeting lack there-of).

Just open a notebook document, or a spreadsheet. Or put a pad of paper on the counter. Each day, note your units. At the end of the week, tell us the weekly consumption, along with your personal experiences related to same. Did you experience less craving? Did you drink more when at home alone, or vice-versa? Does the booze taste as good? What were your weekly triggers? Do you get a different quality of buzz? Do you feel differently when relating to others while on Nal? Fewer blackouts? Hangovers? How do you feel the day after drinking? Are your friends noting differences?

All of this, and not just the units consumed per day, are part of our progress. It's nice to see a larger picture!

I always check your progress, cravings btw...I don't mind that you post this way. I don't usually leave comments because you are doing off-the-charts well and I don't want to jinx you.

But, yes, cravings if you have time to note the differences in your life, it would be very nice to read that and get to know you better.

It always does make me smile to read your updates though. It's nice to see how well this has worked for you and how diligently you are tracking.

Craving, I like your posting style. Maybe some will find this type of day-by-day diary helpful. An overall progress report might be helpful too. Keep on...

I am sorry that I have not written more about myself. I write each day the information so I do not loose it, and the daily posts give me motivation.
I will try to write more information in the future, but I will keep on posting my daily results.

Nal has helped me in many sense

a) reduced tolerance to alcohol. I am totally drunken with just 4 units - and I usually fall asleep

b) Because of the reduced units, I am also consuming less kcal. Before I also started eating a lot of different things meanwhile drinking. Not eating anything anymore when drinking - just drinking.
I also lost during the last 4 weeks around 9% of my body weight - whereas the majority of that comes from a eating change I am doing together with a doctor. In any way Nal has helped me a lot to not go and eat things meanwhile I am drunken - as I usually would eat and eat without a stop. Nal has fixed that for me.

I always repeat on this page, that Nal is not a magic pill, and I personally think that a lot of factors play a role here. Especially family ties and psychology. I am impressed that I keep on with the AF days as I do, although I think the Nal Honeymoon might be over. What keeps me stick with my AF days is my social environment.

The way I have been going has made me a lot more strong. I notice more will-power, more energy and I actually make sports every week (which I did not use to do)

All in all I am happy so far, and the change is huge compared to 7 weeks ago. I can't expect those changes to stay at this incredible high pace. I am happy with my results, and I think that the results I have achieves in this roughly 2 months will take 4-6 months to double. At least that is my hope. Start is always fast then it slows down.

Thanks to everyone for your support!

>Did you experience less craving?

Craving has reduced at the beginning significantly. By now I think it is still decreasing but very slowly.

>Did you drink more when at home alone, or vice-versa?

I only drink at home

>Does the booze taste as good?

I think it never really tasted that good. It is more about the effect.

>What were your weekly triggers?

Some failure. Other times I just wanted to escape a little out of reality

>Do you get a different quality of buzz?

Still feels the same I think. It feels that my body gets comfortably numb and I notice lately more and more that I get this extraordinary strong feeling when drinking alcohol. I did not have that before. Like when you think you can do everything.

>Do you feel differently when relating to others while on Nal?

I think I am laughing more on Nal

>Fewer blackouts?

My brain is recovering - yes fewer blackouts.

>Hangovers?

Drunk yesterday and had an hang over as I forgot to take my pain killers - which I usually do before going to bed. So I had headache, but after the pills it is already gone.

>How do you feel the day after drinking?

I feel good. Less problems, but I think that this is mainly the different units I drink!

>Are your friends noting differences?

Nobody told me of a difference. I think they noticed more straight thinking, more will power, more energy in general.

Thanks, craving! I'm betting you're going to be a textbook case of how TSM works in a relatively short time for those who didn't fall into extremely heavy boozing b/4 starting the treatment. Your drinking levels are much more akin to those of Dr. Sinclair's research subjects, so you're experiencing the results at about the same rate and time. It's one of the reasons I wanted to see a little more detail to your story - I'm thinking it will encourage some people who have a 'moderate' drinking problem to see how they can prevent it from spinning out of control, and get their heads back on straight faster, if they start TSM sooner rather than later.

For those of us who had drinking levels twice (or more) as high as yours, it may take twice as long. Be that as it may: I'm in for the long haul!

The results I have achieved so far are good yes. I do fear that I slip again more deep into it though.

Yesterday (Thursday) I was AF free. But if I was not in town (and I need to drive back - so no drinking) then I would have drunk yesterday.
When I returned it was not worth it anymore to drink ...

Honestly I would be at much more drinking days per week if I would not have my social environment.
