Various countries use a system of units to measure specific amounts of alcohol in drinks of differing strengths. It helps you track exactly how much alcohol you are drinking. Some use US units, some UK units - how to calculate both can be found by googling "US alcohol units" or "UK alcohol units".

Devo - that was great link- I wished I had that when I first started looking at this web site. I noticed SE (side effects) was not in the list but it certainly was helpful for us new people to have a place to look up the abbreviations.
