What an excellent positive way of looking at our treatment. When I read it, it brought more hope into my heart.
Some thoughts: I'm only on week 13 and often feel impatient with TSM, but once I had psychological counseling for two years with very little effect. Of course, with counseling we all expect it to take a long time, so it doesn't seem so bad. But for some reason, we, as a group, expect our medications to affect us instantly, even though we know TSM takes 4 to 6 months and possibly longer for us benzo users. I don't think there is anyone who would think that counseling would be effective within 4 to 6 months, so why would we think that way about our meds? OK, I'm done philosophizing now.
