One of the regulars suggested a half pill booster which I had done to no bad effect.

I don't know if this is right, but if I take a nal late one evening; and I want to drink at lunch the next day, I would take another nal before the lunch on the second day. Anyone else have advice?

In another thread, I think it was Dr Eskapa who said you may want to booster if you're still drinking 9-10 hours after the first dose. Personally, I've taken 25mg after around 6 hours.

Hi Everyone - What has been missing in my case has been effort. I think it's pretty common, however I'm notorious for getting blasted on airplanes and in airports. Yesterday I had a very tough travel day as I had to get up at 2am, leave the house at 3am to catch a 5:30 flight. I had a VERY successful meeting, then headed back to the airport. Normally, when something good happens that's enough to kick start a drinking session. I simply made up my mind that I have to get serious about this. I must have walked past 10 different bars. I did not take a NAL, and I did not drink. I feel great today, and I'm going to work out shortly. I've come to realize that when I drink, I don't work out, I don't work hard at my business, I just exist in a weird feuge waiting for the next drinking session. Enough already!

This is exactly where I'm at. While I know I can't rush this system of extinction, I'm at the end of my rope with always being somewhere between a hangover and blacked out.

Thanks Newlife. I did take NAL and had 7 units over several hours yesterday. Not a binge but not where I want to be either. Progress is slow but there is progress. Hey Jackson, if you look at my start date it is back in 2010. Don't do what I did the first time and get discouraged at the 6 month mark and quit. It took me a LONG time to come back and I don't want to repeat the process. I'm in it to win it and I know you are too! Everyone seems to agree that a plateau at the 6 month mark is not unusual so I'm not going to get freaked out. Hang in there ok?

Well done on changing a trigger Retread and proving it can be done.

A big step.

thanks for the reminder retread about not bailing at 6 months. I'm a month in and it's the sort of thing I need to hear!
