thanks for your posts Cheeto. reading yours have helped me make the decision to start Nal myself. it sounds like you've done a lot of work to get where you are now, and you have it in you to move forward. this too will pass. I'm cheering for you. zontar

Hi everyone, sorry I have not been posting much but I have been reading and trying to keep up with people's progress here. I just don't have much of anything new to post and most of what I have to say is just depressing.
I am getting more and more sick and tired literally of Nal and Drinking, I feel so horrible most days that I need to push for AF days. I think the accumulation of Nal in my system is making me feel sick and really quite down. I just don't feel good or that feeling of looking forward to something good even on sunny days like I used to. Maybe the Nal is squashing any and all good endorphins since I have been taking Nal pretty much every day for over 6 months.
I had an AF day last Wednesday and then another on Saturday that I forced to feel better. I also have had really bad thoughts of how it would all be better if I just ended things. I know that is insane but I wonder if the Nal is giving me these thoughts. Of course I would never do this to my son, family and friends but I can't believe how I feel worse than ever now.I think my going through this Menopause Hell is adding big time to this as I have hot flashes with nausea every 30 minutes and cannot sleep for more than 30 minutes without the huge hot flashes waking me up so that does not help my mood either.
I need to get my life together for myself and my family's sake as I feel I am isolating myself more and more feeling this way.
Sorry to be such a downer as I wonder if this will EVER work for me as my numbers have NEVER gone down, no honeymoon period??? I know Nal+Drink+Patience will lead to Success and I have to keep the Faith!!!! I also know I need to force more AF days where many have said to let them just come but that's not something that comes easily to me yet?
Ok enough of this rant and will just keep POSITIVE and stay with the Golden Rule!
Nal On!

Cheeto

I'm not surprised you are feeling down after a solid 6 months of nal each and every day.

I would encourage you to use other methods either alongside or instead of Nal/TSM in order to cut your drinking down and get some of the nal out of your system. You've already done 2 AF days so that could be a possibility, or take steps to limit your drinking and 'learn' how to drink much less when you do drink.

Lack of Honeymoon can be a sign that it will never work, however there are also people here who did have the HM, but then never saw any future reduction.

Cheeto:

I am sorry you feel so down. But I wonder if it might also be the menopause: do you take anything for it? (You don't have to answer, private I know!). I am just about your age, was having a rough time too, but have felt much much better with sleeping, hot flashes, mood, etc., since starting a year or so ago on bioidentical hormones: estrogen and progesterone. I don't know if those are readily prescribed in Canada, but it is worth looking into.

XOXO Newlife

Thanks Newlife, I think that is a huge part of my depression with my Hormones going through the roof with Menopause. I have tried every natural method under the sun. I cannot take any HRT's with so many family members having had Breast Cancer and other Cancers. My Doctor doesn't seem to be of any help saying I just have to tough it out! I really think I need to push her to find something that will work for me.
Sorry for the negative post but this may be what it is and what a lot of women go through "Losing their minds, having huge mood swings, anger and little sleep due to Menopause! Arghhhh!!!!
Nal On!

Alcohol of course is also a depressant, so it's a triple whammy.
