Hey Everyone,
I would like to encourage everyone on this forum to consider nominating Claudia Christian for a Ted Talk. For those of you who are not aware of TED, it is a conference that is run annually where speakers can speak for 20 minutes about whatever they chose to. Ted has a huge following and the talks that happen at the Conference are recorded and available on their website. Because of this, and their huge following, a talk can receive hundreds of thousands to millions of views.
There are many talks about cutting edge medical treatments and the like. I believe that if Claudia was accepted for a talk, thousands of lives could potentially be saved as a direct result of people becoming aware of TSM who may not otherwise. I have discussed this with the leadership at c three foundation and they like the idea. I have nominated her but think it would be beneficial to have as many nominations as possible.
If you, like me, want those who suffer from Alcohol Use Disorder to learn about TSM as soon as possible, I would encourage you to nominate her in hopes that they will give her a spot so that her story can help enlighten alcoholics, doctors, family members and other healthcare professionals to this potentially life saving treatment.
