Day 16 here :shock:

The weekend was a little rough around the edges, in that I wanted to celebrate after having a really good day on Saturday. After a 25 year hiatus in diving, I took a SCUBA pool refresher and PADI exam. I'm sure I did well (especially with the dive tables) in part because I was abstaining for the past two weeks and was mentally sharper. Anyway the urge to celebrate was there.........

I had to stop and say to myself that a big part of the reason I had a good day was that I was AF!!!!!

All41 - I am SO darn proud of you ! You are doing really well - I am so happy for you. Glad that even though the weekend was rough, you still didn't cave - I long for the day when the Nal has worked for me !!!

Good for you all41; 16 days, that is fantastic!!! And congrats on your success with the diving class. Looks like you are finding lots to do to fill the time you used to spend with alcohol. Keep going!! Newlife

Wow, it is a bit wierd when reasons to 'celebrate' do come up, so a big well done on not succumbing. Breaking that beast!

This 55 year old gray beard is going roller skating tonight with his 11 year old son :lol:

"break a leg".......NOT!!!

Tomorrow I hit the 3 week AF mark and I see my 30 day goal on the near horizon

I hope you had a great time skating all41 - I am an older parent too: I'm 54 and have a 14 year old and a 6 year old. They are no small part of why I am doing this.

I'm so happy for you and at the same time awestruck and envious of your long stretch of AL free days............good for you!! I want that to be possible for me sometime in the not too distant future. But I am also prepared to wait until I am ready for it. I'm not there yet.

Wow All41 3 weeks AF, that is so impressive and I know you can hit the 30 day goal!
Hang in there and we are all rooting for ya...
One of these days I hope to posting the same thing with AF days.
