Hi Maggie!

Looking at your numbers you are still doing great. It's hard to compare to a sick week... as you body was responding to being sick and your meds.

Keep reminding yourself of the good progress you have made. You are on your way!

I agree that your progress from the very beginning to now is actually significant. I think if we compared our progress in terms of the percentage of reduction in alcohol consumption we would have similar percentages. I was back up last week as well but my overall trend line is way down like for you. Keep up the good work and hugs! :)

Thanks for posting Maggie and just keep going. You have a lot going on in your life right now as I recall. Important to be kind to ourselves, isn't it?

Hi Maggie, I think 4 AF is awesome. If I can even have 1 a week I am doing well.
I have not sold my place yet but now with Spring I am crossing my fingers it will sell soon. How is it going with your move?

Cheeto - the 4 AF was 'cos I was not well - which was odd in itself as usually I drink even when unwell - but whatever - that feeling of not wanting to drink has gone unfortunately !! I am not sure if I was ready for it mentally though to be honest as it was really hard to deal with ....

No, we have not sold our house yet either and the closing on the new one is 23rd April!! I have decided to stop worrying, bury a St. Joseph statue and imagine the house sold !! Worrying is not helping anything so I have to stop! The time is coming for people to look at houses so with this, as well as the Nal, we just both have to be positive and put it out there that our houses will sell!!

NL - yes it is so important that we all keep posting isn't it ? I find it really helps reading about how everyone else is doing - even if they are not doing well - it makes me realise that we all have down weeks ! We just all need to keep going !!

Angelgirl - yes we are very similar in our intakes and yes we are both going down all the time .... just need to hang in there and be patient (that will be my epitaph !)

Hey Omshiva - thanks for the kind words - it all helps !!

Hugs, Maggie x

Maggie I think I got your bug :-) I have been sick this past week and as a result have not drank in 6 days! I am like you in that I would still drink when sick *hot toddies were only medicinal of course*, so it's some progress, however I am sure this is not the new normal for me. At least my liver is having a nice well earned break for now.

Oh dear Omshiva I hope you feel better - isn't it an odd feeling though? It must have been a bug but was so weird that I couldn't drink - I always drink even when ill! Sounds like you do too! So great on the AF days - I will be interested to see how you go this coming week - feel better !

hugs, Maggie x

Well, a slight rise in intake this week - but still under where I started - positive thinking ! I need to really think about not 'just opening the next one after I finish one' ...... I feel a tad fed up with my intake but will keep going - LOL. Not really much to add - feel sort of quiet at the moment.

Oh - one question for anyone - for about 10 days my ring and little fingers on both hands are feeling sort of numb - does any one know if this might be a SE? I have never had it before and would rather poke my eyes out than go to the doctor with it - my doctor is NOT easy to get in to see!! Plus I do not think it is anything serious - just wondered if anyone else has had anything like this.....

Off to work, Hugs, Maggie x

I've not heard of Nal causing numbness of digits as a side effect, so you might need to go see the Dr.

Do you feel like opening the next one?Is it a drive, or is it habit?
