I hope you figure it out Maggie, all I can think is what a shocker it must be.

In a good way.

Hi Maggie, whatever it is keeping you from drinking is good news in my books cause even if I feel sick I will drink, ughh!
Hopefully it's TSM starting to kick in for you and you are on your way.
Sorry you feel sick but so glad you don't want to drink,Yay!
Hope you feel better soon...hugs
Nal On!

Cheeto - usually I drink too, even when I am sick so that is what has made all this so weird! However, I fancy a drink today and have taken my Nal! I am feeling good again - so think I am back to normal - will be interesting to see what I have AL wise this week!

Yes UKB - it really has been a shocker this past week - it really just all seemed surreal - BUT I think I am back to normal now - LOL !!! I do think it is whatever I had as I feel like having a drink now and certainly do not have to force myself the way I did yesterday!

It certainly was a wake up call for me though in that it has got me thinking about what life will be like when I am 'cured', and I think I need to start thinking about the way in which I change my thinking !!

Hugs, Maggie x

Maggie - yes this is definitely not a magic bullet but maybe it is a way for all of us to "tilt our world" a little and see options that we didn't have before when we were just stuck in a seemingly never ending cycle. Periods of clarity have got to be good, however you get them, take them, right!

Anyway thanks for keeping us up to date and Nal on!!

Hugs, Newlife

Yes, Maggie, it's so interesting how with this pill our bodies respond first, and our thinking follows. It's usually the other way around. Good job, keep us posted!

I know I am behind on posting - well, replying to everyone else's posts - sorry - life just sort of caught up with me between this and last week. Anyway - I am back to normal - not sure if that is good or bad. Good in that I am not sure if I was READY for the Nal to work - and bad in that I am back to my usual drinking ! I obviously need to work on my thinking - it was quite a shock last week to NOT want to drink physically, but want to mentally - I need to try and do something about that. This week am at my usual levels - well, not pre Nal levels - but whatever !

Hugs, Maggie xx

I always say that any and all AF time is good, it gets you working out how to live without booze, and I don't mean without the substance, I mean working life out without it's influence because I felt it affected me even during the bits of the day(s) when I was soberish.

Well, a rather disappointing week for me after last week - last week really was odd - I have no idea why I felt so off - maybe I did have a virus of some sort - although I would usually drink anyway! Having gone back to 'normal' I now wish I could have those feelings back that I had last week - it was an awesome feeling to not want to drink!! Hopefully it will happen again ..... I think I am getting discouraged although I KNOW that I have to just keep going with it - which I will do !! Have a good week all,

hugs, Maggie x
