Good Morning to all - slept really well last night considering it was the first time AF in a long time - tummy still doesn't feel right so am hoping to not buy any AL today either - not sure if it was all the stress that made me feel so unwell or what but it was good for the AF ... LOL

Thanks for all the wishes for my mum - possibly going to see her today as long as my tummy is better. Going to try to not buy AL again today - it felt good to not drink yesterday. I am hoping of course that it is the Nal making me feel this way but fear it is just the stress of travel etc....

Hugs, Maggie x

Hi Maggie - glad you are safely in the UK. Wish I was there I love the place. Even with the weather. Going this summer. Hope your Mom is well, that is so tough. (Im a very American girl so Mum still sounds strange to me!!).

Anyway I would say just be very happy for the AF day. The thought of that makes me very uneasy. And I guess we shouldn't force or white knuckle, just take what comes as a gift and try to find what is truly inside us. Goals are good, though, so it is a fine line.

Great job walking into a store, looking at the lovely offerings and walking out with nothing!! I cannot imagine that yet either.

Have a great day!!

Great news on the AF day, I believe ANY and ALL AF time is a good thing - it teaches us how to live without it.

Sounds like a very long day of travel, but glad you got there safely - I am so excited for your AF day! I travel a lot and that is almost a trigger for me to drink on a long travelling day - especially happy that you walked in , saw the Guinness, and walked out - i can't imagine that yet! hope the trip to the hospital to see you mom goes well and that she is getting better - and I hope your tummy is on the mend - keep in touch - and have a good trip - Ready

I tend to have some difficulty falling asleep on AF days, but when I do fall asleep I sleep MUCH better :)

Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Thank you all of you for the responses - today I forgot to take my Nal with me when I went to visit mum at the hospital - didn't get home til 6.00 so took it then ....and waited the hour ! And for some reason, that is getting easier as well ....

All41 - usually if I am AF, I too have trouble sleeping but for some reason was fine that night - guess I was just exhausted ! Last night I had two Guinness and had a lousy nights sleep - hot sweats etc., which is par for the course when I drink, and even as few as two. Am finishing my second one now and do not think I will have a third - Nal really is amazing stuff !!

Ready - yes thanks, I am much better and so is mum - she is coming home tomorrow ! Got some stuff to sort with her like a cleaner once a week ... she cannot cope with cleaning right now plus she has macular degeneration so does not see the dirt anymore and used to be so houseproud !

Thanks UKB for the motivation and words of encouragement !

Plant - you too, it is so lovely to see everyone responding ! It feels good to have so much support.

Newlife - I cannot imagine calling my mum 'mom' any more than you could call yours 'mum' - LOL - so quite understand ! How lovely that you are coming over here this summer .... you must PM me and let me know where you are going !!

I need to get going - feel really tired again - bed is not going to be long !

Hugs, Maggie x
