Week 9 completed and my numbers are really high this week, glad I had 2 AF days (today will be the 2nd) or they would be even higher than pre-Nal. I feel horrible today as I got on the phone with a friend last night and drank and talked for hours. I think that is what you call mindless drinking. I slept in until noon as I felt so hungover and I am hating wasting my days like this over and over again. God I wish I was a quick responder as I do feel very jealous of those that had results so soon.
I know, I know reality is that I have to have patience and the Nal will do it's work. I definitely want an an AF day today cause I feel too sick to drink.
Well that's my update which is not that inspiring but I make sure I always follow The Golden Rule no matter what.
Nal On my friends! 8-)

The concept of "Mindfulness" means you are aware of what you are doing. NAL or not, after 3 drinks or so, mindlessness occurs (because you're DRUNK) Then it's all over.

A general plan to limit drinks or slow down to stop the progression to mindlessness will help the extinction. The unexpected result (with NAL) of waiting between drinks and limiting intake is that drinking desire often DISAPPEARS. The goal is to drink mindfully and in control, so any steps in that direction may help.

Then........

A point is reached when drinking for it's own sake loses all appeal. Most with TSM success aren't bothered anymore by wanting to drink or "AF" days. They just don't care to drink anymore.

(Do I sound like a broken record ?)

A Mexican Magician was going to vanish. He said "Uno, Dos, ....." then POOF, was gone.

He disappeared without a Tres.

Guapo have you read any books by this guy? You'd probably like them, I have read Brainstorm and am now reading Mindsight.

Cheeto, how did you feel when you woke up the morning of your 2nd consecutive AF day?

I never was particularly mindful of my behavior (obviously), and just working on that was HUGE

Thanks for the tip

Reading any/all of these oddly titled books cannot help but change your perspective about alcohol and drinking

"The easy way to control alcohol" by Alan Carr

"Kick the drink easily" by Jason Vale

"Recover" by Stanton Peele

Hi Cheeto, I'm really impressed by your efforts and can't wait for you to be cured. I am curious about a couple things, do you still feel the effects of alcohol much sooner then pre nal? This struck me as being different then my experience. I can and could drink more at first without feeling it, so I was the opposite. Does the wine or alcohol taste any different? At first, the thrill of the alcohol as it hit my tongue had changed, it was noticeable immediately. How about you? Is the buzz enjoyable or different in any way then pre nal? Any strange dreams occuring? I just hope it kicks in and you get what you want. Stay the course. Peace.

Hi Plantrpr; well last night after 2 AF days I had some red wine. I must say it didn't taste as full bodied and good as I thought this brand used to, not sure if it was just the wine or not. I drank a whole bottle and really never felt anything other than getting tired so I wanted to feel a buzz and drank a bit more than 1/2 of another bottle. OK so I blacked out and don't remember going to bed. I woke up early and felt horribly hung over AGAIN so then I stayed in bed until 1PM. I think the Nal is making the hangovers much worse???  This sucks that I really don't feel the buzz but get a horrendous Nalover....
Yes I have had a lot of vivid, strange dreams and a few kinda nightmares too.
God I hate feeling this way and wasting the day. I didn't even have breakfast until 2PM today?
I will stay the course NO MATTER WHAT as I can't tell you how much I want to get to the Cured List!
Thank you for your support...

Guapo it's really after the first drink for me and I am on my way. If it wasn't then I could stick to 2-3 drinks like I always say I will only have. Hey thanks for the joke, I had a good laugh at that one!

All41, I felt great, happy and was not sweating and getting chilled like I usually do.I have done this pre Nal too and I say to myself that I feel so good that I want to have a drink now. :? :?

I have read a lot of those books you guys have mentioned too.

all41 I am going through the worst Menopause hot flashes that I have ever heard anyone having. I have hot flashes/all out sweats every 1/2 hour and more often when I have been drinking too much and this is all day, all night.
Anything can set them off from exerting myself, getting stressed, angry, etc. It starts off now me being very nauseous then Bam I am in a full on sweat. The other night I got so angry having this on top of my hell of alcoholism and is sometimes really hard to bear.
I know there are others out there a lot worse off then me like I am not battling Cancer or something like that but it is really hard to function like a normal person with these debilitating problems.
Sorry this is not really on topic with TSM and alcohol, just ranting ughhh! :( :( :(
