Hi Cheeto - just thought I would drop by. I'm in exactly the same boat as you. My numbers are gradually creeping back up and it does feel a bit discouraging to not really feel any different. But I'm sticking to the method - so maybe we will reach some miracle point together sometime soon.

I must admit that I also questioned how someone could be cured after just two tablets! :?

keep up the good work - I bet you're looking forward to your trip to Mexico. We are heading to Lanzarote for New Year to get a bit of winter sunshine (it's the nearest warm place to the UK) it would be great to not spend the week obsessing about when I can have my next glass of wine.

This speaks to moderation and understanding drinking, which works well with TSM. If your numbers aren't changing, perhaps more mindfulness is needed.

All41, haha yes I forgot "Nal-ON which I think I stole from Heavy Fuel here on this Forum, thanks for adding that.
I am heading south December 30th, in 19 days but who's counting eh, lol!

Snap my numbers could creep up even more but I have been forcing an AF day a week to keep them down but also to a a reprieve from feeling lousy. Yes, let's all go through TSM together and stay the course. I will be so happy to see you all on the Cured list along with myself in the New Year. Have a great time in Lanzarote for New Year's!
We will get there as they say we just need Patience!!!!

Guapo from what I hear we should let the Nal & TSM do the work but some very good suggestions on that article. I have been keeping very close track of my numbers but will try a few of the other tricks especially when I am out with friends as you can lose track of how much you drink at those times.

Nal On!!!!

It may be true that beer drinkers have success with TSM more quickly than wine drinkers, but that doesn't mean that switching from wine to beer will make TSM work better for you.

Bingo.

There's no shortcut with operant conditioning. It takes exactly as long as it takes, frustrating though that may sometimes be. It's a process, not the famous magic pill.

Week 9 completed and my numbers are really high this week, glad I had 2 AF days (today will be the 2nd) or they would be even higher than pre-Nal. I feel horrible today as I got on the phone with a friend last night and drank and talked for hours. I think that is what you call mindless drinking. I slept in until noon as I felt so hungover and I am hating wasting my days like this over and over again. God I wish I was a quick responder as I do feel very jealous of those that had results so soon.
I know, I know reality is that I have to have patience and the Nal will do it's work. I definitely want an an AF day today cause I feel too sick to drink.
Well that's my update which is not that inspiring but I make sure I always follow The Golden Rule no matter what.
Nal On my friends! 8-)

Me too all41, I am just so sick of being sick and tired all the time. At least your numbers are down all41 where mine have stayed pretty much the same since the beginning of TSM????

I think this applied to me the last 2 nights:

An 'extinction burst' is when the primitive reptilian brain (the part that controls our breathing and our most basic emotions) notices that it is not getting the buzz it expects from alcohol. Even though the conscious parts of the brain understand that the reason the buzz is missing is because we are taking Nal, the primitive parts of the brain don't understand what is going on. So they respond by trying harder to get that same buzz by doing more of the thing that used to work (ie, drinking more). This is actually a really important part of the process, because this is when you (the thinking being) can really teach the primitive parts of your brain that drinking more still won't work, so it might as well give up.

I have just had 2 AF days in a row (forced) and my cravings have gone down a bit. In my mind I also think I should take Nal+Drink more for the Nal to rewire my brain but on the other hand I really need some AF days cause I do go overboard still with my drinking and feel so crappy day after day, what to do? Anyway I will let Nal do it's magic but will just throw in some AF days here and there.
The other night I drank 9 Drinks while talking on the phone and blacked out not remembering anything after the first bit of the conversation then had a restless, terrible sleep finally getting out of bed at noon the next day feeling horrible!
The days that I do go AF I wake up feeling pretty good the next day but I know I really need a lot more for my head to clear and get out of this alcoholic fog.

I have been reading Crown86's story on this Forum which is so inspiring and gives me hope,he was a quick responder and found TSM working for him by 2-3 months in. I love reading the past posts on this Forum and am so glad that a few check back in from time to time. I did post a Thread on "This board reminds me of a Horror Movie" stating how many don't come back and post on this Forum more often and as Crown86 confirmed is that they just do not think about alcohol that much if even at all any more and have got on with their lives. I can hardly wait until I can say I am cured and be one of the successful ones too! :P :P :P

Hi Cheeto, I'm really impressed by your efforts and can't wait for you to be cured. I am curious about a couple things, do you still feel the effects of alcohol much sooner then pre nal? This struck me as being different then my experience. I can and could drink more at first without feeling it, so I was the opposite. Does the wine or alcohol taste any different? At first, the thrill of the alcohol as it hit my tongue had changed, it was noticeable immediately. How about you? Is the buzz enjoyable or different in any way then pre nal? Any strange dreams occuring? I just hope it kicks in and you get what you want. Stay the course. Peace.
