I've been taking my Nal about a week now, and things seem to be going smoothly...it's so easy I'm almost worried that the Nal isn't really Nal at all. No side-effects to speak of (and I started at 50mg), and I'm still enjoying my wine (not getting exactly the same buzz, but similar. Defintley noticing more tiredness, and that it is easier to say "I'm done"). I think it is working, and I know River pharmacy is reputable. Did anyone else have practically no side effects when starting on Nal?

hi SRS,

glad to hear you're doing well :)

I had virtually no SE's right from the start except some tiredness whilst Nal+drinking, so much the same as you by the sound of it

Very mild nausea and a "spacey" feeling. Some tiredness, and a feeling like I could stay in bed and keep sleeping in the AM.

Once acclimated I really can't tell at all.

Of course I had terrible SE's but a lot of people I have read about on this Forum did not. Funny that taking Nal now seems like I have taken nothing other that Nal+Drinking and I get tired.
All 41, I wake a lot during the night due to hot flashes with menopause but lately I can sleep and sleep in the AM and have found myself waking at 11AM-Noon on many days which I had never slept that late in the past (I am retired so no work to go to), weird!!!
someRandomScientist, lucky you without SE's and glad everything is going smooth for you. Welcome to the Forum!

Well, lucky you. You're responding well and even still enjoying it on some level, which is the best of both worlds. It's still too early to make valid predictions, but it sure sounds like it's going well.

Welcome to the forum, too. It's always nice to have a few newbies who aren't looking for help with some immediate problem, so lurkers can see that not everyone has the rare side effects and whatnot.

I did 25mg for a week then went to 50mg. No side effects besides tiredness and a new type of buzz. Tiredness is gone for the most part, and the buzz is the new normal.
