Hi Cheeto - good for you for ordering more Nal - and for your wonderful positive outlook.

I totally believe in you - I'm convinced you will be one of the cured here - I'm hoping that I will be with you and celebrating too on our journey.

Sorry if I haven't posted much on your weekly progress - I'm struggling a bit with so many threads and trying to post on the Options Saves Lives thread too. Did you every use My Way Out? That forum has a Newbies Nest where people can just post to anyone about anything on a daily basis. I wonder if a general daily thread would be easier? Love Snap x

Hi snap, checking in on this site and c three forum I think is enough for me. There seems to be more action on this site lately which is great.
I believe if we follow TSM we will all be posting in the Cured section sometime very soon!
Thank you for your support and to all the others on this site, xoxo :D

Well today I have 4 weeks under my belt. Funny how time can fly sometimes but being on a TSM, or a diet, etc can feel like it is dragging cause we all want results NOW, lol!
I have found the last couple of years when I drink I just get tired and fall asleep on the couch or go to bed early if I am by myself. Now with Nal it makes me more tired so last night I went to bed at 9PM, crazy eh? Of course I didn't sleep very well cause wine always causes me to have a fitful sleep and my hot flashes on top of that interrupts my sleep.
I have been exercising every day at 3PM while I watch Ellen and then take my Nal at 4PM so I can drink by 5PM which has always been my witching hour. I don't know if I can do it but I think I need to take my Nal + drink later so I don't go to bed so early?
I am so glad that I can order my Nal as I had said my Doctor will not prescribe me anymore. Well actually I wish I had ordered it in the first place cause 97 tablets cost me around $625.00 CAD and now I just ordered 120 tablets that cost me $296.00 CAD. I have an extended health plan with my Pension but they will not cover Nal, really!
I just wanted to make sure I have more than enough for my trip to Mexico at the end of December for 3 months. I even have a key chain that I am getting through C Three Forum that I can carry 1 pill every day with me.

Oh Yay Cheeto, You are doing great. Perhaps you will be able to get Nal over the counter in Mexico. I'm right their with you with hot flashes and mood swings. The wine doesn't seem to help either. In fact, I'm thinking of going on Bio Identical hormones to hopefully ease this process a bit. Come to think of it, wanna pick some up while you are wintering. Just kidding. Lets get to that Cured List. Hugs, Keek

Kekede, where do you get Bio Identical hormones? I can't take HRT's as there is a high risk factor in my family with Cancer.

Just an update here as I had posted an another thread about not obsessing so much now with Alcohol. I actually am looking forward every day at 3PM to exercising, taking my Nal at 4PM and have my wine at 5PM while making dinner. I know it does sound like a bit of a habit but I will have confidence in the science. The whole forbidden fruit thing with alcohol is not really there much anymore cause I am ALLOWED to drink and NEED to drink for TSM to work, sounds crazy but hey what a way to go!
My drinking numbers have not really gone down yet but I feel a little better knowing to just "Let it be" and good things will come with TSM. I usually would drink a bottle of wine and that voice would just eat away at me to have another glass or two which seems to be getting fainter week after week. I know that 4 weeks is still very early so am just going with the flow!
Hope u guys r doing well with TSM, cheers!

5 Weeks completed now and my drink numbers are about the same but honestly it is still very early with TSM so I am keeping positive.
Yesterday I talked to a guy friend that I am meeting in Mexico and he told me he has been exercising, laying off the booze (he is an alcoholic IMHO) and has lost 20 lbs. I know a lot of the weight I have gained is from 1-1 1/2 bottles of wine a night so I am forcing AF days right now which I know I shouldn't but I want to look half decent in a bathing suit. Guess I am a little vain and jealous of my friend but I want to lose at least 10 lbs and I only have 41 days till Mexico!
I also have been spending quite a lot of money on wine (which is expensive in Canada for a decent bottle) and need to save some for my trip so that gives me some incentive too.
I still need the the Nal + drinking to work so hope to be able to lay off the booze during the week and will let myself drink on weekends right now.
So happy to have all you people hear for support!

It might be a sign of progress that other things, like losing weight, are now seeming like a higher priority than your drinking life. A couple of months ago, would you have been able to force an AF day just to cut calories?
