Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I'm not sure we need ten, but a few on the most common topics might be useful.

Quote:
    1. Side effects
    2. Fast responder
    3. Slow responder
    4. Relapse (i think barry and generic have threads on this)
    5. Intermittent reinforcement
    6. Where'd everybody go?

It would make more sense to tackle one need at a time then to tackle six at once. I guess the most important would be intermittent reinforcement, aka cheating, aka not following the protocol properly, aka forgetting and a bunch of other things. What's a snappy title for a sticky thread? It should be called something to catch a newbie's eye.

I have intentionally sought out the "dark side" of TSM, and truth is there really isn't much out there. That said, if you want to succeed you should STUDY the pittfalls and avoid them like the plague.

Every newbie should read Melissa's blog post on the "de-cured".......good reality check there.

Personally I have no reason whatsoever to doubt the science. I'm a liberal (the old fashioned variety) and I embrace science.

In the case of TSM the data are overwhelming. Now on the other hand, if someone can show me the clinical studies indicating the existence of a spiritual power intervening on my pathetic alcoholic soul, I'm all ears.

Till then:

1+1=2

and

Nal + alcohol = pharmacological extinction in many, but not all alcoholics.

I intend to work with TSM to the best of my ability, and that leaves little room for doubt, so I'm just gonna knock that little  off my shoulder and follow the golden rule.

I don't know who "owns" this board, but I have to say that the registration process was overly difficult. I'm not a computer wiz by any stretch, but I'm not a dummy either, and I have read that others have had problems too............

I almost gave up, but eventually created a new gmail address and finally got it to work. I bet there would be more participation if it were a little easier. Actually had worse issues at C3 and that board is almost dead.

Yeah, the owner no longer stops in much. Regular mods can't verify accounts, so I'm not sure what (if anything) to do about that.

I don't blame the guy. He has moved on, and it's nice that he continues to host this. I'd just like to find some workaround so that it's easier for people to join us.

Oh, I meant one sticky with links to relevant threads on each topic.

Theres a lot of info to be gleaned here, but its a kind of random process right now.

My warning on the side effects has long since been buried, but its relevant to the 3 in 400 (or some other low and very unlucky number of people). Tripping out in inconvenient places can be very bad. Id be thrilled if it helped one person not repeat my experience.

I have helped many people. I've also had people I've taken time to help just go over and over the same questions trying to make it into something it isn't(complicated) which really annoys me and I've not worked out why.

I am here but don't always have time to visit and post. That's how my life is now.

If anyone is brave and wishes to PM any specific question I am happy to answer and help others, and will try and pop by every so often.

Just to let you know where I am, I started TSM 3 1/2 yrs ago, cured around 6 months mark, drank within safe limits/socially for approximately 19 months then decided to go AF and I have 16 months without consuming any alcoholic drink(I have on about 2 occasions accidentally had pudding and also a couple of chocolates containing booze, but that's the sum total of it).

Prior to TSM my life was a mess and it was predicted my remaining life would be cut very short.

It is so nice of you UKblonde to stop by and update us. The reason I started this thread is because I thought all the oldies had disappeared for good and you have proven you do exist out there and TSM did it's job. I get it that once most have reached the Cured state that there is no need for them to hang around as they want to get on with their lives.
This is exactly what us Newbies need is real people giving us a shot in the arm and hope that this TSM really does and will work. Your story is such an inspiration to me as I hope one day I can come back here and post my success for others.
Thank You again! :P :P :P
