Just took a week vacation, drove all day to get home, and my Nal was waiting for me. I just turned 55 this week so no time like the present to get started, right? Took a half pill, felt nothing adverse so then the other half an hour later. After an hour still no side affects to speak of, so I drank a pint of Coors light.

I don't know about others experiences, but I could tell immediately that my "rush" was being blocked. No question. Drank another, and now I'm calling it quits for the night, bed is calling, I'm tired.

Wish me luck folks.

Well done all41 on your perfect start. Keep us posted on your initial experiences. We need more information on the first few weeks. They tend to be the most disturbing for new practitioners. Good luck with the protocol, nothing to it if you are compliant.

Thanks for the encouragement. It does worry me in the back of my mind that for whatever reason I could fall into the 1 of 5 group that reaps no benefit, but from what I have read the odds are against that being the case. Among other things, and probably most important, is my genetic history, both grandfathers, father, several aunts and uncles and first cousins. A world of hurt for several generations.......

Anyway I had a pretty strange night's sleep. Found myself laid out in bed stretching like a cat, repeatedly. Not sure what your body is doing when you do that (kind of like yawning) but it feels good. Didn't sleep all that well though, too much mind racing. Today I'm back at work, and feel like it's pretty much worn off, or I just don't notice it.

Welcome all41 and that is great that you did not go through the hell that I and some others went through on the first day and days on Nal. Keep positive and forget about negativity, give it a chance. As the book says up to 3-4 months but realistically like others have said give it 6 months at least!
Good time to be starting with all of us. Track your drinking so you and all of us can see your progress.
