Thistime, I have done both. Sometimes I take the nal and after waiting an hour. I just don't feel like drinking. Other times I planned on not drinking and did not take the nal.

Week 29, 17.5 drinks, 3 af. I ended up going out 3 times for the lion share of 15.5 beers. Had an absolute blast and almost closed the place 1 night. I'm loving my new freedom from alcohol and that I'm getting out and socializing sober. I even met a beautiful women and we danced a lot, enjoyed each others company. I could of never done this before the nal, I was to crippled by alcohol. I've been meaning to try an explain something that has crossed my mind recently. It has to do with the effects of pro-longed nal usage on me. It didn't just target the alcohol for extinction. Basically it targeted or shotgun blasted all the things that excited me. Before I was like a kid in a candy store. Running after one pleasure to the next. I was too one sided so to speak without having enough mental discernment in place for my own good. It was like pleasure and excitement were the cornerstone of my life. Whether I was drinking, eating, going to bars every night, relationships, you name it. From the risky behaviors to the bad relationships. They all had that level of addiction in them. The nal had a side effect of weakening all of these vices to the extent that they've become re-prioritized in my life, automatically so to speak. I am so much more happier then I've been in a long time. I love staying home now. I've fixed up my house and really enjoy just chilling. It is so nice to have af nights and just be content, not having that urge that I used to have that I needed to be doing something all the time. Look at my signature. I'm beginning to get pretty regular on having af nights now and I love them. I believe I'm headed towards more of them because they support my new view of who I am. From the way I look at food, to my new goals or even my next girlfriend, it has all changed. All these things the nal reset. I'm so thankful, that not only the alcohol problem was resolved, but all theses added bonus's appeared. I liken it to the artist who has a big stone in front of him and by chipping away the bad imperfections reveals a beautiful object. So in ending this week, I hope that my ramblings made some sense. I know we are all different and come from different paths, but TSM sure worked for me. Keep the course and see what it reveals in you. Peace........Start TSM 4/10/14, pre TSM probably between 60 and 70, going as high as 85 units per week for months straight. ............. Wks:

Awesome update plantpr0, thanks. So nice to have someone with longer time on Nal continue to stay active here. It really means a lot. In my relatively short time I do notice Nal affecting other areas of my life in a pretty good way too. I have gone from 6-8 cups of coffee a day to 1-2 without even trying for example. I look forward to additional balance and peace, and I think Nal helps set the stage.

Cheers!

This has also been on my mind a lot. I had an AF day Wednesday, then on Thursday I am thinking, I must do all my good activities today, I managed to check a few off, but didn't go for a run and was kicking myself this morning. I guess that in fact over time more AF days will come and without the alcohol calling I will naturally re-enforce the good things. I just hope that the Nal won't extinct my love for these things in between times.

On the other hand I am very like plantpro, running about thrill seeking and some of those things are just like booze, o.k in little doses.. but we do them to extreme.

Your weekly progress is such an inspiration PlantPro - congratulations on an amazing achievement! I'm going to start one too - to help me on my own journey. Thank you!

Great numbers plant! It's important to also see the decline in consumption over a longer period of time.

Week 30, 17 units, 4 af. I went out 3 nights and did well all accept 1 night. I ran into some friends later in the night and they ended up buying me some drinks when I should of been leaving. I ended up with 7 beers in me after 5 and 1/2 hours of socializing and dancing. Had a good time and nothing compared to what I use to drink. But upon waking the next morning. My mind was in such a fog and filled with such uncontrollable non rational thoughts that I realized just how crazy it is to ingest a poison and pretend its alright. I'm falling in love with my new af days and the 4 I had this week set a record since starting TSM. It's important to understand I wanted them , the af days, as to opposing some strict discipline. The nal continues to work, maybe even stronger then ever before. I believe at this point in my recovery. It's causing me to reevaluate things with an advantage of having a laser like focus without my previous addictions taking any priority. I don't think I'll be drinking at home by myself anymore. The af days are just too enjoyable. Last Sunday, my usual play day, I didn't go out because I wanted to be clear headed for work on Monday. I've been noticing I speak better and my mood is much better on af days as I go about doing my normal chores. I ran into a close gf while I was out and she thought I looked good, thinner, happier. She marveled on all the things I've accomplished this summer. I told her I dropped 10 lbs and by far the best thing I did for myself was finding then following TSM protocol. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this, it as truly given me back my life. Look at my signature, I've finished 3 columns now. First column= no af days. Second column =1 af day. Third column= 7 af days. I bet you this next column will have all af days. Not to mention that in the first 20 weeks or so I was using boosters frequently as my drinking sessions went longer then 4 hours. So for a forty year drinking problem I've given it 30 weeks. Do you think that the 30 weeks is a lot of time to give to a problem that was killing me? Would some of you have quit when at the sixth week I posted my highest consumption? I would of totally of missed the benefit of the extinction process had I quit at that point. And now, I'm at a point where alcohol is kind of getting disgusting to me as I prefer things that are actually real and beneficial. In signing out for this week, what a miracle TSM has done in my life. Super happy with all the new participants, you all have a great handle on what's going on and what is needed. To all you guys who just started. I say journal and prove me wrong that TSM isn't the best alcohol solving problem their is. Be patient and keep the course, you are closer then you could ever possibly imagine to your original home. You can do it. Peace.Start TSM 4/10/14, pre TSM probably between 60 and 70, going as high as 85 units per week for months straight. ............. Wks:

Awesome results Plantpro. Thank you so much for sharing and for sticking with the TSM protocol. It's interesting how the Nal seems to squelch thrill seeking behaviors. Spending money on useless items is one of my other vices that could stand a little squelching.. Take care, Keek
