Hi Dr Escapa: I just found out about The Sinclair Method and Naltrexone and this will be my 3rd day (taking pill at 4PM today). I am 57 and have been drinking since in my 20's with the my drinking escalating so much more in the past 10 years, blackouts, really bad hangovers etc. I am having really bad side effects and hope you can answer and help me with this so I can stay with this. I have ordered the book but will not get it until next week so sorry if this is covered in the book. I am feeling really sick, dizzy, having confusion, shaky, feeling tired but cannot sleep, sweating more (I have had hot/sweat flashes every 20 minutes or so for the past years due to menopause), when I am not sweating am am freezing cold. I am very tense and so much so that I am clenching my teeth which either has brought on a headache or it is another side effect. I took drugs to experiment in my teens and this likens me to when I had taken acid and went through a horrendous trip which compares to this. The first night I could not drink as I felt so sick. I usually drink 1-1 1/2 bottles of wine a night so last night I drank a bottle of wine and felt better then felt really sleepy and slept for an hour or so then I woke up and felt really really awful, The word to describe it is "Hell". I tried doing deep breathing and relaxation as I was so tense, felt so sick, dizzy, confusion but nothing helped so I took 1/4 of a Clonazepam pill to calm me. That seemed to help enough to get me back to sleep and this morning I felt a little better. I just had 2 cups of coffee and am back to feeling really awful again, shaky, feeling sick and a drugged feeeling. I am thinking of taking 1/2 a dose today??? Please help me as I really want to stay with this, does this happen and does it go away and when???
