Maybe I'll be a 'fast responder' as I've heard it called while I was lurking around these forums the past few days. In the first session, I drank 3 beers. In the second, I drank 4. I am very happy to have found this method because I think it is going to work and I think I'm responding fast. Perhaps I have that gene that the book talks about. And maybe that's why I never knew a time when I could drink normally. I went form zero to problem drinker in 5.2!

So glad to have found this place. I had to leave my other support group on reddit.com/r/stopdrinking because I was tired of having to explain and defend this method, and I think I triggered a few people's cravings. I understand that people don't want to think there's any "magic pill", as they've called it. Especially if they struggled really hard to become sober.

So here I am. This group, along with my therapist and group therapy are my support system. I'm so glad I don't have to constantly defend myself here.

Awesome sober! Keep us posted and remember to follow the Golden rule without exception. The effects of the nal will continue to ramp up. You're at the very beginning and noticeable signs are a great clue. Take it out 10 days, reflect upon the changes, then imagine it 10 times stronger in 3 or 4 months. You can do it. Peace

Thank you. I am feeling very hopeful. I will probably drink again next week. I got a silver bullet necklace that has naltrexone in it and wear it everywhere. I only drink usually 2 times a week at most, so it's going to take time to know for sure, but I really feel like this is going to work! First time I've felt hope in a long time. I'm so grateful.

Keep us updated, okay? Don't just quietly get cured and vanish; lots of people assume that the vanished are all failures.

Don't worry. I'll be sure to post to the 'cured' list if/when I feel I'm cured and I plan to keep coming back here for support because my last online support group just could not understand this method, though I explained it repeatedly.

A long time ago I got banned from r/stopdrinking. A ton of groupthink (just like the rest of Reddit) and way too many 12 step zealots.

Agreed. Too many 12 steppers for sure!
